Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may transmit uplink transmission using antenna elements mapped to one or more antenna ports. The UE may transmit a first message to a network entity to indicate antenna ports that are available for wireless communications at the UE. The UE may transmit a second message to the network entity to indicate antenna groups associated with the antenna ports. Each antenna group may include a respective set of one or more antenna elements and may be associated with a respective transmit power threshold. The network entity may select a first antenna group of the one or more antenna groups for the UE to use for uplink transmissions. The UE may transmit, after transmitting the first and second messages, one or more uplink transmissions to the network entity using the first antenna group.

Discontinuous transmission in shared channel occupancy time for sidelink communication in unlicensed spectrum

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for signaling a user equipment (UE) to put a sidelink (SL) component carrier (CC) into dormancy or take the SL CC out of dormancy, such as mode 1 or mode 2 sidelink communications. In one example, a method performed by a UE includes receiving an indication to put a first CC into dormancy; and putting an SL CC into a dormant state in response to the indication. In another example, a method includes transmitting an indication that the first UE will put an SL CC into a dormant state; and receiving an acknowledgment (ACK) of the indication.

Dormancy indication in sidelink communication systems

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a duration of a first gap that precedes a reference signal, based at least in part on a polarization of the reference signal. The UE may determine a duration of a second gap that succeeds the reference signal, based at least in part on the polarization of the reference signal. The UE may perform a measurement of the reference signal based at least in part on the first gap and the second gap. Numerous other aspects are provided.

A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a set of frequency domain resources allocated to the UE for communicating data over a wireless channel. The UE may receive an indication of a waveform type associated with the set of frequency domain resources. The waveform type may be based at least in part on a data type of the data, may be used for a defined amount of time, and may be one of a plurality of waveform types that are multiplexed together over different frequency domain resources within a total system bandwidth. The UE may communicate within the set of frequency domain resources according to the indicated waveform type and the data type.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a non-cell-defining (NCD)-synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel (PBCH) block (SSB) (NCD-SSB) configuration indicating one or more parameters corresponding to transmission, via at least one NCD-SSB burst, of at least one NCD-SSB set associated with at least one cell, the at least one cell comprising at least one of a primary cell or a secondary cell. Non-cell-defining synchronization signal block configurations

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for peak to average power ratio (PAPR) reduction for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). An example method, performed at a transmitter, includes generating a plurality of orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) symbols, based on a constellation associated with a modulation scheme, adjusting a phase of at least one of the OFDM symbols based on at least one parameter that depends on a non-integer multiple of a phase distance between two points on the constellation, generating a Discrete Fourier Transform spread OFDM (DFT-s-OFDM) waveform based on the OFDM symbols after the adjustment, and transmitting the DFT-s-OFDM waveform to a receiver.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, a communication device may receive control signaling (e.g., a broadcasted control signal) from another communication device. The control signaling may indicate beam information for one or more beams of a set of beams. The one or more beams may correspond to the serving cell or one or more neighboring cells. The beam information may include one or more metrics associated with each of the one or more beams. As such, the communication device may determine that a metric associated with each of the one or more beams satisfies a threshold, select the beam, and communicate using the selected beam. In some other examples, the beam-specific information may include beam measurement offsets for one or more beams. In such examples, the communication device may select a beam based on the beam measurement offsets and perform communications using the selected beam.

Aspects presented herein may improve the latency and efficiency of L1/L2 inter-cell mobility. In one aspect, a UE receives a configuration for a set of cells associated with a mobility of the UE, where the set of cells includes an SpCell and an SCell, where the set of cells includes a first subset of activated cells and a second subset of deactivated cells, and where at least one first cell of the set of cells is a reference cell and one or more second cells of the set of cells are associated with the reference cell. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently transmitting data and control information in a first RACH message to a base station as part of a two-step RACH procedure. In particular, rather than or in addition to transmitting data and control information in a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) in the first RACH message, a user equipment (UE) may transmit the data and control information along with a RACH preamble in a RACH occasion in the first RACH message (e.g., when the number of bytes of data or control information to be transmitted is low). Using these techniques, in some instances, the UE may transmit the data and control information in a first RACH message without transmitting the PUSCH, and the overhead associated with transmitting the PUSCH may be eliminated.

A method for wireless communication includes determining a random reflection parameter for each of one or more RISs. The random reflection parameter is random over time for the one or more RISs.
