Aspects relate to transmission of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) information. A user equipment may receive a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidate carried by a control resource set that also carries a second PDCCH candidate, where these PDCCH candidates are associated with different aggregation levels. The user equipment may identify a PUCCH resource for transmission of information (e.g., an ACK or a NACK) that is associated with a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission scheduled by the first PDCCH candidate. For example, the user equipment may identify the PUCCH resource based on a control channel element (CCE) index that corresponds to a starting CCE of the first PDCCH candidate and the second PDCCH candidate.

Identification of control channel resource

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A discontinuous reception (DRX) periodicity may be configured to enable monitoring of a reference signal (RS) for RLM procedures. For example, a transmitting device may configure a DRX periodicity for an RS, where the configured DRX periodicity may include a periodicity of discrete transmissions of the RS or a periodicity of a transmission window in which the RS is located. Accordingly, a receiving device may identify the DRX periodicity and monitor radio link quality using the RS based on the DRX periodicity. In some examples, the RS may be transmitted independent of control channel transmissions, and the transmitting device may configure one or more control resource sets for the RS.

Radio link monitoring without always-on reference signals

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first packet and a second packet for transmission during a period for a periodic application. The UE may transmit the first packet and the second packet in a combination of a dynamic grant and a configured grant occasion. In some aspects, a network entity may receive a first packet and a second packet for transmission. The network entity may transmit the first packet and the second packet in a combination of a dynamic grant and a semi-persistent scheduling occasion. Numerous other aspects are described.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE), generally including receiving, from a network entity, a configuration of one or more sounding reference signals (SRS) resources for codebook-based physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions, transmitting a report indicating a capability index associated with at least one downlink reference signal, transmitting the one or more of the SRS resources with an updated number of SRS ports associated with the capability index, if spatial relation information of the one or more of the SRS resources is associated with the downlink reference signal, receiving, from the network entity, signaling scheduling the UE to transmit a PUSCH based on one of the SRS resources, and transmitting the PUSCH with a number of PUSCH ports according to the updated number of SRS ports.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to, at a wireless communication device, occupying a slot in a first subchannel, wherein the first subchannel comprises a sidelink subchannel in a licensed band, transmitting sidelink control in the first subchannel during the slot, except during a symbol gap indicated to include at least a last symbol of a plurality of symbols supported by the slot, seeking access to a secondary carrier in an unlicensed band, and transmitting sidelink traffic in the secondary carrier upon receiving the access to the secondary carrier. FBE-based licensed assisted sidelink access

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Feedback based codebooks for reducing or eliminating interference between orbital angular momentum (OAM) based backhaul communications between a first network node and a second network node and access communications between the first network node and a user equipment (UE) are described. The first network node may transmit a message to a UE indicating a feedback codebook for a set of reference signals associated with OAM modes. The first network node may transmit the reference signals, where each reference signals may be associated with a respective OAM mode. The UE may generate and indicate in a feedback report to the first network node codewords corresponding to UE feedback for the received reference signals. The first network node may communicate with the UE via an access link and with the second network node via a backhaul link based on the feedback report.

Orbital angular momentum based codebook for access communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine resource selection priority levels associated with available resources for sidelink signaling in an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band, the resources selection priority levels may be determined based on resource reservation information of the available resources, a time domain location of the available resources, or both. For example, a first resource of the available resources may be associated with a higher priority than a second resource of the available resources in resource selection. The UE may select one or more resources for the sidelink signaling from the available resources based on the resource selection priority levels associated with the available resources. The UE may transmit the sidelink signaling on the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band using the one or more selected resources.

This disclosure relates to collision resolution for overlapping uplink transmissions, and includes a method and apparatus for identifying a plurality of scheduled uplink transmissions that overlap in at least a first slot and a second slot, wherein the plurality of uplink transmissions comprises a high priority uplink transmission scheduled for repetitive transmission across at least a first slot and a second slot and further comprises one or more uplink transmissions scheduled in the first slot and two or more uplink transmissions scheduled in the second slot, wherein the two or more uplink transmissions scheduled in the second slot comprise at least a first low priority uplink transmission and a second high priority uplink transmission; and performing a first collision resolution procedure in the first slot and performing a second collision resolution procedure in the second slot, the second collision resolution procedure being independent of the first collision resolution procedure.

Cancellation order for scheduled uplink repetitive transmissions with different priorities

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate sidelink messages over one or more carriers. The UE may schedule a first sidelink message for transmission on a first resource of a first carrier of a set of carriers on which the UE is configured for sidelink carrier aggregation. After scheduling the first sidelink message, the UE may schedule a second sidelink message for transmission on a second resource of a second carrier that at least partially overlaps in time with the first resource. The UE may determine that a transmission capability of the UE pertaining to the overlapping sidelink transmissions has been exceeded by scheduling the second sidelink message and may pre-empt transmission of the first sidelink message in favor of transmission of the second sidelink message based on the transmission capability of the UE being exceeded.

Sidelink transmission pre-emption

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receiving control signaling indicating an uplink configured grant including a set of physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission occasions. The UE may transmit a PUSCH message within a first PUSCH transmission occasion of the set of PUSCH transmission occasions. The UE may transmit an uplink control information (UCI) message indicating a second PUSCH transmission occasion of the set of PUSCH transmission occasions that will be unused by the UE, where the second PUSCH transmission occasion is based on a quantity of uplink traffic within a message buffer at the UE, the second PUSCH transmission occasion conflicting with a set of reserved resources, or both. The UE may then communicate with a network entity based on transmitting the UCI message, where the communicating includes refraining from transmitting messages within the second PUSCH transmission occasion.

Techniques for indicating unused configured grant PUSCH occasions

Aspects described herein relate to determining a failure associated with reception, by a base station, of an initial transmission of a random access message transmitted by the UE in a two-step random access procedure, and based on determining the failure situations associated with reception of the random access message, configuring the parameters of a retransmission and/or retransmitting at least a portion of the random access message.

Techniques for retransmitting random access messages in wireless communications

Systems, methods, computer-readable medium, and apparatus are disclosed that allow for control information to be provided in an efficient manner during short burst transmission. For example, an apparatus may be configured to receive downlink control information (DCI) that indicates an allocated resource from a base station. The apparatus may also receive data from the base station. The apparatus may generate a cyclically shifted sequence that corresponds to a sequence that is cyclically shifted based on at least one of an ACK or NACK for the received data and a SR. The apparatus may then transmit the cyclically shifted sequence in the allocated resource within one symbol period of a slot of a subframe to the base station. Thus, by transmitting the SR and the ACK/NACK in one symbol, control information for short burst transmissions can be provided in a more temporally efficient manner without adding excessive complexity to the UE.

In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may transmit uplink transmission using antenna elements mapped to one or more antenna ports. The UE may transmit a first message to a network entity to indicate antenna ports that are available for wireless communications at the UE. The UE may transmit a second message to the network entity to indicate antenna groups associated with the antenna ports. Each antenna group may include a respective set of one or more antenna elements and may be associated with a respective transmit power threshold. The network entity may select a first antenna group of the one or more antenna groups for the UE to use for uplink transmissions. The UE may transmit, after transmitting the first and second messages, one or more uplink transmissions to the network entity using the first antenna group.
