A single-pole x-ray emitter includes an emitter housing, in which an x-ray tube with a vacuum housing and a drive motor are arranged. A cathode that generates an electron beam, and a rotating anode that is struck by the electron beam along a focal path are arranged in the vacuum housing. The vacuum housing includes a drive-side housing wall and an anode-side housing wall, and the rotating anode is held in a torsionally rigid manner on an anode tube that is rotatably mounted on a stationary part of a rotor shaft that is coupled to the drive motor. The stationary part of the rotor shaft is joined to the anode-side housing wall of the vacuum housing via a ring-shaped fixing. The anode tube incorporates a temperature compensation element. The focal path is arranged on a side of the rotating anode that faces away from the anode-side housing wall.

Single-pole x-ray emitter

An x-ray apparatus has a cooling device for cooling of the anode, through which cooling device cooling fluid flows. To improve the cooling effect, the coolant is water and a pressure generation device is provided for generation of a water pressure of more than 1.1 bar acting at least in a region of the anode to be cooled.

An x-ray radiator has a vacuum housing that can rotate around an axis, a cathode that thermionically emits electrons upon irradiation thereof by a laser beam, an anode that emits x-rays upon being struck by the electrons, an insulator that is part of the vacuum housing and that separates the cathode from the anode, electrodes or terminals to apply a high voltage between the anode and the cathode to accelerate the emitted electrons toward the anode to form an electron beam, a drive arrangement for rotation of the vacuum housing around its axis, an arrangement for cooling components of the x-ray radiator, and an arrangement that directs and focuses the laser beam from a stationary source that is arranged outside of the vacuum housing onto a spatially stationary laser focal spot on the cathode.

A rotating envelope radiator has a radiator housing surrounded by an external housing to form an intervening space in which a coolant flows. To prevent the formation, at high rotational frequencies, of reverse flows of the coolant in the intervening space, a flow conductor structure is provided in the intervening space that counteracts the formation of tangential flow components in the coolant.

A high-performance anode plate for a directly cooled rotary piston x-ray tube is formed of a high-temperature-resistant material such as tungsten, molybdenum or a combination of both materials. In the region of the focal spot path, the underside of the anode plate is shaped, and/or in this region a different highly heat-conductive material is inserted or applied, such that an improved heat dissipation and thus a lower temperature gradient results.

In a method for vapor-depositing a substrate with a layer of a needle-shaped x-ray fluorescent material containing at least one alkali metal, alkali halide phases and an alkali halide are mixed in a vapor phase and are vapor-deposited on the substrate. A needle-shaped fluorescent material is thereby produced having the formula wherein Mis at least one metal ion from the group Na, K, Rb and Cs, His at least one halide from the group F, Cl, Br and I and Sis at least one lanthanide ion from the group La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb or Lu.
