The present invention discloses a cold gas spraying gun with a powder injector for injecting a gas/powder mixture into a mixing chamber through which a process gas flows. One powder injector pipe of the powder injector is closed at one face end. A delivery opening for delivering the gas/powder mixture from the powder injector is designed as an opening in a side wall of the powder injector pipe. The delivery opening opens into the hollow chamber in the powder injector pipe at an axial distance from the closed face end of the powder injector pipe, and therefore a backed-up volume is located between the delivery opening and the closed end face of the powder injector pipe.

The invention relates to a device for creating and conveying a gas-powder mixture having a powder receiving space () that is connected to a vacuum creation device via a vacuum line () that discharges to the upper region of said powder receiving space. A reduced pressure in comparison to a mixing chamber () can be created within the powder receiving space (), and thus a gas flow directed against the powder flow direction within a powder supply channel ().

A cold gas spray gun is disclosed. The spray gun includes a high-pressure gas heater which has a pressure vessel through which gas flows and a heating element situated in the pressure vessel, as well as a mixing chamber in which particles can be admixed with the gas through a particle feed. A Laval nozzle is arranged downstream in the direction of flow of the gas and consists of a convergent section, a nozzle throat and a divergent section. The high-pressure gas heater and/or the mixing chamber is/are at least partially insulated on the inside in the areas of contact with the gas.

A cold gas spraying method and device, whereby the sprayed particles are accelerated in a gas flow. A powder tube and an outer nozzle body together form a Laval nozzle that produces high gas flow velocities. The injection of the sprayed particles occurs in the divergent section of the Laval nozzle.
