A front end arrangement of a motor vehicle has a front end module () that is fastened directly or indirectly to vehicle longitudinal carriers of a vehicle body arrangement which delimit an engine compartment (). At least one cooling apparatus () is mounted in a floating manner on that side of the front end module () that is directed toward the engine compartment (). At least one air guide duct is fastened to the front end module () and is provided with at least one air guide arrangement (). The air guide arrangement () is connected via fastening means () to the cooling apparatus ().

Front end arrangement of a motor vehicle

A front module () of a motor vehicle has vehicle front-side air guiding element () for a vehicle radiator, and has a foam crash element () that is positioned in front of the air guiding element () on the front side. The air guiding element () is fastened to the foam crash element () at least in a part region. The front module ensures particularly satisfactory dimensional and positional stabilization of the air guiding element ().

A trailer towing device can be swivelled from an operative position into an inoperative position and back. During an adjusting from the operative position into the inoperative position, a socket for an electrical plug device of a trailer is continuously taken along. The coupling neck of the trailer towing device as well as the socket are covered in the vehicle in their inoperative position.

In order to prevent a rear bumper from penetrating in the event of a crash so far into the vehicle body that a rear flap can no longer be operated, a so-called supporting element is arranged within the bumper in the area of the longitudinal center plane of the vehicle and/or at the ends, which supporting element constructs the bumper in a rigid manner in this area.

A towing device has a ball neck equipped with a ball head that can be moved by a spindle adjusting element back and forth from an operative position into an inoperative position. The ball neck is arranged in a rotary block which is swivellably held in a carrier part. For supporting the ball neck in all possible loading directions, supporting surfaces, a torsion stop as well as a detent pawl are provided so that a movement of the coupling neck is avoided when forces act upon it, and a precise position is ensured in the operative position.

Towing device

A trailer coupling for motor vehicles able to be moved from a working position to a resting position and the reverse. To increase safety, a motion of the trailer coupling is allowed only if the velocity of the motor vehicle is &#x3c;=5 Km/h, if the rear window or tailgate is open and if no trailer is fastened on the coupling. The motion is stopped if the torque of the drive motor exceeds a specifiable reference value.

Electrically controllable trailer coupling

A removable hardtop for an automobile has a rear window and can be secured to the adjoining body via releasable latches. To stiffen the hardtop in the transverse direction, the hardtop is provided with a parcel shelf below the rear window. The shelf joins at least the two lengthwise side parts of the hardtop with one another.
