The present invention relates to a stent for splinting a nasal passage. The stent consists of a braided tubular support body which, in unloaded state, has a diameter of at least 4 mm and a length in the range of 25 to 120 mm and particularly of 25 to 100 mm. The stent may have a widened section at the proximal end for splinting of the nasal alar. It may alternatively or in combination have a fixation section at the proximal end of the stent for fixation of the stent in a nasal passage of a user. When fixed the fixation section protrudes from the nostril of the user and can be fixed outside of the nose.

The invention relates to a programming surface for imperative, procedural languages. A further prerequisite is a graphical user interface (GUI). The programming surface for the input of program code can be used with known programming languages such as Visual Basic, Java, C++. In the case of the programming surface, there is no longer a need to key in the program instructions. A language syntax need not be observed. An instruction set need not be learned.

Measurement data acquisition apparatus and method of operation thereof

Provided is a method for monitoring measurement data by way of measurement channels. The measurement channels are processed in a plurality of time series of state values with mutually different time bases. Limit value ranges are ascertained in a learning phase and monitoring-related steps are triggered in a monitoring phase when limit values are exceeded. A good value extent is calculated for a time series with an upper and a lower limit value, with the inclusion of a limit value range which is predetermined in the learning phase and a state base value of the time series, which is determined in the monitoring phase.

The invention makes a contribution in order that machines and installations are better utilized, their service life is extended, reliability is improved, the loss of valuable materials is avoided, test results are optimized, and energy consumption is diminished. The mechanism proceeds from a normal condition and permanently observes short-term, medium-term and long-term changes.
