A user equipment for wireless communication is provided. The UE operates within an active bandwidth part (BWP) of a component carrier, wherein the active BWP is a portion of a total bandwidth of the component carrier, determines a configuration for a dynamic channel state information (CSI) measurement gap, the dynamic CSI measurement gap including channel state information (CSI) measurement resources having a frequency domain occupation within the total bandwidth of the component carrier and outside of the active BWP, measures the CSI measurement resources included in the dynamic CSI measurement gap, and transmits a CSI report based on the measured CSI measurement resources.

Dynamic channel state information (CSI) measurement gap for bandwidth limited low complexity user equipments

Bandwidth part (BWP) switching may benefit a wireless communications system. Such BWP switching may include indication of one or more timing parameters used for time domain resource allocation. For example, the timing parameters may be indicated based on an index to a look-up table (e.g., a bit field in a control transmission). In some cases, one or more tables may be configured for a given BWP, and different tables may contain a different number of rows. The size of the bit field indexing the table may in turn depend on the number of rows. When switching from a first BWP to a second BWP, the size of the bit field may be based on the table of the first BWP, but the bit field may index the table of the second BWP. Techniques supporting improved timing parameter management during BWP switching are discussed herein.

A user equipment (UE) receives information for a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) or a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), where the PDCCH/PDSCH are broadcast or group-cast from a base station and have a quasi co-location relationship with a synchronization signal/PBCH (SSB) block or a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) beam. The UE monitors for or receives the PDCCH/PDSCH based on at least one of a search space (SS) set configuration enhancement for the PDCCH, a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) resource configuration enhancement for the PDCCH or the PDSCH, or a scrambling identifier set enhancement for payload bits of the PDCCH or the PDSCH, which support the spatial division multiplexing (SDM) with another PDCCH/PDSCH that are broadcast or group-cast from the same base station and have the quasi co-location relationship with a different SSB block or a different CSI-RS beam.

Spatial division multiplexing for reduced capability wireless devices

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some cases, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, a report indicating a capability of the UE to support symbol level quantization, slot level quantization, or both. The UE may identify that the UE is to utilize the slot level quantization. For instance, the UE may receive control signaling indicating that the UE is to utilize slot level quantization and may perform the identifying based on receiving the control signaling. The UE may receive a first transmission via a first channel and may communicate, responsive to receiving the first transmission, a second transmission via a second channel at a quantized start timing determined in accordance with the slot level quantization.

User equipment timeline quantization

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for controlling access and use of network resources and services by user equipment based on user equipment capabilities. In one aspect, a method for wireless communication by a network entity, includes: receiving, from a user equipment, a request to connect to a network, the request comprising a user equipment identifier and a reduced capability indication; determining a validity of the reduced capability indication based on at least one of: subscription data associated with the user equipment; or one or more capabilities associated with the user equipment; and making a connection decision based on the validity of the reduced capability indication.

Restricted access and use control for user equipment with reduced capabilities

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to multi-slot transmission time interval based channel state information (CSI) and uplink shared channel (UL-SCH) multiplexing. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control information (DCI) message and determine, based at least in part on the DCI message, a schedule for multiplexing UL-SCH data and one or more components of uplink control information (UCI) in a plurality of slots on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The components may include a CSI report for a plurality of transmission reception points. The UE may multiplex the UL-SCH data and the one or more components into the plurality of slots based at least in part on the schedule. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Multi-slot transmission time interval based channel state information and uplink shared channel multiplexing

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a capability report to a base station indicating a triggering offset. The base station may configure the UE with one or more channel state information (CSI) measurement resources and send downlink control information (DCI) that triggers an aperiodic CSI report for some of the CSI measurement resources. The UE may report CSI by measuring the CSI resources after the triggering offset. In some cases, CSI reporting related to the different codebook types (e. g., Type I, Type II) may be modified, where after identifying a type of codebook and determining which type of codebook to process (e. g., based on a number of CSI processing units), the UE may identify a priority associated with different CSI reports. The UE may be configured with various parameters that relax or modify the processing of Type II CSI reports.

Techniques for simplifying channel state information feedback

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) included in a first category of UEs may receive a configuration that configures a paging early indication (PEI) in a first initial downlink bandwidth part associated with the first category of UEs, and may monitor for a PEI in the first initial downlink bandwidth part based at least in part on the configuration. In some aspects, the UE may receive a configuration that configures a PEI in a second initial downlink bandwidth part associated with a second category of UEs, and may monitor for a PEI in the second initial downlink bandwidth part based at least in part on the configuration. Paging early indication for a user equipment

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may detect an out-of-coverage scenario based at least in part on determining that a synchronization source associated with a wireless network is unavailable or has a signal strength that fails to satisfy a threshold. The UE may transmit, on a sidelink channel, a sidelink synchronization signal in a transmission period that includes a plurality of synchronization signal occasions based at least in part on the out-of-coverage scenario. In some aspects, the UE may transmit the sidelink synchronization signal according to a reduced duty cycle that causes the sidelink synchronization signal to be transmitted during fewer than all of the plurality of synchronization signal occasions. Power-efficient sidelink synchronization signal transmission

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for scheduling and bandwidth part (BWP) adaptation for extended reality (XR). A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes obtaining an indication to change at least one of a minimum control-channel-to-data-channel delay or a bandwidth for receiving a first transmission on a BWP; changing the at least one of the minimum control-channel-to-data-channel delay to a new minimum control-channel-to-data-channel delay or the bandwidth on the BWP to a new bandwidth; and receiving the first transmission on the BWP using the at least one of the new minimum control-channel-to-data-channel delay or the new bandwidth of the BWP.

Scheduling and bandwidth part adaptation techniques for extended reality

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, information indicating that demodulation reference signal (DMRS) time domain bundling is enabled. The UE may determine a time domain bundling configuration based at least in part on the information indicating that the DMRS time domain bundling is enabled. Accordingly, in some aspects, the UE may perform channel estimation based at least in part on DMRSs received in different physical downlink control channel monitoring occasions based at least in part on the time domain bundling configuration. Demodulation reference signal time domain bundling

A user equipment (UE) operating as an NR-Light UE may repeat transmissions of uplink signals such as a random access (RA) message (Msg) 3 on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) during a random access channel (RACH) procedure. The UE may receive a random access response (RAR) message including a RAR uplink (UL) grant. The UE may determine, based on a single bit of the RAR message, whether repetition of a RA Msg 3 is indicated. The UE may determine both of a repetition factor and a transmit power control (TPC) command for the RA Msg 3 based on a TPC field of the RAR UL grant. The UE may transmit the RA Msg 3 based on the repetition factor and the TPC command.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a beam management configuration that indicates a set of resources to be used by the UE for transmitting a plurality of reference signals, including at least one sounding reference signal (SRS) and at least one demodulation reference signal (DMRS), to be used for beam refinement during an uplink beam management occasion; and transmit, to the base station, the at least one SRS and the at least one DMRS based at least in part on the beam management configuration. Mixed uplink reference signal beam management

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for aperiodic measurement configurations. In one aspect, delaying transitioning of a secondary cell group (SCG) to an active state until a next synchronization signal block (SSB) or periodic reference signal may result in an excessive delay in obtaining network resources of the SCG. Some aspects described herein enable a base station (BS) to transmit signaling using a master cell group (MCG) cell to schedule resources for an aperiodic reference signal transmission and measurement using the SCG. For example, the BS may transmit signaling to a user equipment (UE) to identify a reference signal resource for an aperiodic reference signal transmission and measurement. In this case, the BS may transmit the aperiodic reference signal using an SCG cell, and the UE may measure the aperiodic reference signal and provide a report identifying the measurement of the aperiodic reference signal.
