A socket assembly comprises a base frame formed of a thermally conductive material holding a light emitting diode (LED) package to a support structure, a contact element electrically contacting the LED package, and an isolator PCB. The LED package includes an LED PCB having an LED mounted on the LED PCB. The base frame includes a base mounted to the support structure and mechanically engaging the LED PCB so that the LED package is attached to the support structure with a predetermined holding force. The contact element electrically connects the isolator PCB to the LED PCB. The isolator PCB supplies electrical power to the LED. The isolator PCB has a first surface and a second surface; the second surface is in heat transmitting contact with the base frame and the electronic component is disposed on the first surface of the isolator PCB and electrically connected to the LED.

A clamp for a socket assembly is disclosed. The clamp comprises an upper plate, a lower plate arranged parallel to the upper plate, and a pressing section connected to the upper plate. The upper plate is capable of being pressed toward the lower plate.

An LED socket comprises an LED package having an LED mounted on an LED printed circuit board, a contact having a receiving section adapted to be connected to a terminal end of an electrical cable and a contact lug having a T-shaped contact section, and a base defining a receptacle for receiving the LED printed circuit board. The receptacle is open to an opening in the base adapted to expose the LED at a front face of the base. The base holds the contact and the T-shaped contact section is exposed in the receptacle and electrically contacts a pad of the LED printed circuit board.

A socket assembly is disclosed. The socket assembly includes a light emitting diode (LED) package having an LED printed circuit board (PCB), a base frame, an isolator frame, and an electrical contact. The base frame has a base mounted to a support structure and a spring finger extending from the base, the spring finger applying a clamping force to the LED PCB that acts in a direction toward the support structure. The isolator frame is mounted to the support structure. The electrical contact is electrically connected to the LED PCB and disposed within the isolator frame, such that the isolator frame electrically isolates the base frame from the electrical contact.

The present invention relates to a contact element (&#x2033;), a base ('&#x2033;), a clamping element (&#x2033;), an arrangement (&#x2032;&#x2033;&#x2033;) and a mounting section (&#x2033;) for electrically contacting a light-emitting diode (LED) (&#x2032;). In order to conveniently and cost-effectively hold and electrically contact the LED (&#x2032;), the present invention provides that the contact element (&#x2032;) comprises a mounting section (&#x2032;) adapted for mounting the contact element (&#x2032;) to the base (&#x2032;) in a manner that the contact element (&#x2032;) is pivotable about a pivot axis (P) extending through the mounting section (&#x2032;), and comprises a contact arm (&#x2032;) protruding laterally from the mounting section (&#x2032;) and having on a distal end a contact point () facing essentially in a contact direction (K) for contacting the LED (), wherein the contact direction is running essentially in parallel to the pivot axis (P). Further, the invention provides that the base (&#x2033;) comprises at least one contact receptacle (&#x2033;) which is adapted to accommodate a contact element (&#x2032;) according to at least one of claimstoin at least to different rotational positions (R, R), and that the clamping element (&#x2033;) comprises an attachment section (&#x2032;) adapted to be attached to the base (&#x2032;) at the at least one contact receptacle (&#x2033;), and a holding section (&#x2032;) adapted to hold down the contact arm (&#x2032;) of the contact element (&#x2032;) towards the LED (&#x2032;).

A Shielding shell for a connector is disclosed which includes a first wall, a second wall and a third wall. The first wall, the second wall and the third wall are arranged mutually at an angle to each other. At least the first wall and the second wall are connected to each other by a first folded edge. The shielding shell further includes a first contact portion connected with the second wall by a second folded edge, the first contact portion being arranged substantially parallel to the third wall and including a plurality of contact segments contacting said third wall.

The present invention pertains to a connector, having a rear side and a mating side and including a housing having at least one contact receiving space and at least one non-contact receiving space, the spaces extending in a direction from the mating side towards the rear side. The non-contact receiving space is adapted for receiving a portion of a mating connector housing and has a substantially rounded cross sectional shape substantially perpendicular to the direction from the mating side towards the rear side.

The conductive section includes a crimping end which is adapted to receive an electrical conductor and for being crimped thereto and a shaft section which extends between the crimping end and the mating end and includes two legs.

The invention concerns a Cable clamp for a cable connector, the cable clamp being arranged for receiving and capturing a portion of at least one cable extending along an extension direction from the connector. The cable clamp includes a first section and a plurality of second sections which are movably attached or attachable to the first section; the first section includes at least one through-hole extending in the direction of extension, which through-hole is configured for receiving a first portion of at least one cable penetrating through the hole and at least a portion of the second sections is arranged for capturing between them a second portion of the at least one cable penetrating through the hole and extending therefrom.

A connector is described, the connector including a housing with a bottom wall and two upstanding opposite side walls determining a receiving space for receiving an insertion side of a second connector. The housing is provided with a flexible latch for locking the second connector in the receiving space of the housing. The latch is mounted in the bottom wall of the housing.

Connector and connector assembling system

The invention relates to a connector system of a connector and a counterpart. The connector includes a pivotally supported locking arm extending towards said counterpart, wherein said locking arm includes a first locking portion adapted to engage with a second locking portion of said counterpart by a first rotating movement (R) of said locking arm to a locked position to lock said connector and said counterpart and to disengage from said second locking portion by a second rotating movement (R) to an unlocked position to unlock said connector and said counterpart. The system is adapted to support said locking arm after said second rotating movement (R) to prevent said locking arm to rotate backwards to said locked position.
