Portable multi-layer warmth delivery systems and methods may pertain to an electrically resistive first layer, a structural second layer, and an infrared-redirecting third layer. By passing an electrical current through the electrically resistive first layer, infrared energy is emitted, redirected, and efficiently concentrated in a vicinity.

In some embodiments, a mess kit includes a container assembly having a lid portion and a container, each of the lid portion and container including handle portions having apertures that align when the lid portion is connected to the container. In some embodiments, a tether device is provided to connect the lid portion to the container, as well as to releasably connect one or more utensil devices, or utensil assemblies to the container assembly. Also, the utensil assembly can include a first utensil and second utensil connectable together in a first mode, and second mode, with each mode of connection involving inserting a portion of the first utensil into a sheath member of the second utensil.

Methods and systems are presented for configuring oxygen barriers for controlled access to chemical warming agents such as wood fiber, vermiculite, activated charcoal, iron, and salt. A portable grill and method of using the same. The portable grill can be stowed in a fully compact state with grill bars, leg members, and tension bars stored within an elongated container formed by frame members of the portable grill. Removable end caps can be snugly attached to end portions of the container to seal the container and help retain the frame member together, the end caps being formed of flexible heat resistant material, and usable as heat mitts. When in a fully assembled state, the grill bars of the portable grill are placed under tension by use of tension bars that are configured to be shorter than the grill bars, and which can retain the frame members at a parallel distance from one another that is less than the length of the grill bars.

Integrated utility devices are disclosed having a myriad of synergistic features. A body having an internal storage cavity may be sealed by a cap comprising a self-contained flashlight assembly. Also, hook attached to the body may serve dual purposes of providing a bracing surface for a bottle opener and a hook portion for a gated carrying clip for the body having internal storage cavity.
