Responsive to receiving the authorization code, the terminal device transmits via the direct wireless communication link to the mobile communication device a terminal report message which includes a message content part and a message addressing part. The mobile communication device transmits the terminal report message in a forwarding message via a telecommunications network to a remote message processing system determined by the addressing part. The remote message processing system determines from the addressing part the back-end system assigned to the electronic terminal device and transfers the content part of the terminal report message to the back-end system.

A method of writing data into identification media of various types (IM-X, IM-Y) via assigned write/read stations WR in accordance with an embodiment of the present application includes a step wherein, a virtual, identification media-independent reference file system RFS is defined. A reader device in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure includes an antenna connected electrically to a processing unit through an antenna connection element. The reader device includes a user interface unit which is connected to the processing unit through the connection element and includes a data output part and/or a data input part. The data output part receives via the connection element reader data from the processing unit and outputs this data. The data input part receives via a data entry element user data and transmits this data via the connection element to the processing unit. Thus, user authentication data can be entered by the user and transmitted to the processing unit without the need for additional wiring between the user interface and the processing unit.
