A connector arrangement for an electronic controller includes a plurality of insulation displacement terminals. The connector has a body portion and cover portion. The cover portion includes tabs which will force a wire onto the insulation displacement terminal so that electrical connectors are made. In one embodiment, the connector is connected to a standard phone cable which, in turn, terminates in a modular phone plug.

A temperature compensation control system for stabilizing the temperature within a space as the amount of air being supplied to the space undergoes sudden changes, the space being supplied with supply air through a supply duct, the supply duct having a temperature controller located therein, the space also having a return/exhaust duct associated therewith for removing air from the space, the system including a temperature sensor for sensing the temperature of the space, an air changing sensor for sensing changes in the air supplied to the space, and a controller for controlling the temperature of the space in response to the temperature sensor and for overriding the temperature sensor in response to sudden changes in the air being supplied to the space, the overriding of the temperature sensor decaying in accordance with time.

Temperature compensation for vav system

A sliding crank actuator for rotating an axle connectable to the actuator, the axle being provided as part of a system external to the actuator. The axle is rotatable in the external system about an axis which is located at a fixed distance from and which is perpendicular to a drive screw in the actuator. The actuator comprises a drive screw rotatable about a fixed axis and a drive nut on the drive screw. The drive nut moves along the length of the drive screw as the drive screw is rotated. The actuator further comprises a crank arm having a first member and a second member slideably innerconnected so that the first and second members slide longitudinally with respect to each other. The first member is connected to the drive nut so that the crank arm can pivot about the drive nut. The second member comprises apparatus for connecting the second member to the axle so that, as the drive nut moves along the drive screw, the axle connected to the second member is rotated. The first member of the crank arm slides along the second member of the crank arm as the drive nut moves and the axle turns.

A demand limit control system for maintaining power consumption of loads within a building below an upper demand limit, the upper demand limit being separated from a lower demand limit by a deadband, the system having a power demand controller responsive to power consumption for providing a controller output signal ramping up when the power consumption is above the upper demand limit, remaining substantially constant when power consumption is between the upper and lower demand limits, and ramping down when the power consumption is below the lower demand limit, and a plurality of demand controlled loads each connected to the power demand controller and each responding to a different threshold value of the controller output signal such that each load is conditioned to turn off when the controller output signal is above the threshold and is conditioned to turn on when the controller output signal is below the threshold.

Simplified demand limit control

A drive train system for rotating an axle in an external system about an axis which is perpendicular to a driven shaft. The driven shaft has a drive screw thereon and is rotatable about a fixed axis. A drive nut is located on the drive screw and is movable along the length thereof as the drive screw is rotated. A two-part, slidably interconnected crank arm has one part fixed to the axle and the other part slidably interconnected with the drive nut. A power drive is operably connected to the driven shaft through a friction drive including a driven member mounted on the shaft by means of a slip fit through a center hole and a friction plate rotating with the shaft through a center opening. An annular-ring surface between the driven member and the friction plate creates an interface which limits the frictional drive force developed thereby.

A pneumatic condition sensing system for reducing the consumption of air supplied by a pneumatic source, the system having a bleed type pneumatic device for bleeding air from a branch line to atmosphere to control the pressure within the branch line in response to a sensed condition, an elongated restriction for connecting the bleed type device to the pneumatic source, the elongated restriction having an air conserving flow versus pressure relationship, and a controller connected to the branch line and responsive to the pressure therein for providing a control function usable in controlling a condition.
