An energy storage device having: a high-temperature regenerator containing a solid, particularly porous storage material (S); a working gas (A) as the heat transfer medium to transfer heat between the storage material (S) and the working gas (A) flowing through; and a charging circuit and a discharging circuit for the working gas (A). The charging circuit is designed such that starting from a pre-heating unit at least one first heat transfer duct of a recuperator, a first compressor (HO), the high-temperature regenerator, a second heat transfer duct of the recuperator and then a first expander are interconnected, thus forming a circuit, so as to conduct fluid. The first compressor is coupled with the first expander, and the first compressor forms part of a first piston machine (K) and the first expander forms part of a second piston machine (K), the piston machines (K, K) being operable either as a compressor or as an expander such that the first compressor of the charging circuit forms a second expander in the discharging circuit and that the first expander of the charging circuit forms a second compressor in the discharging circuit. The high-temperature regenerator can be connected to either the charging circuit or the discharging circuit to conduct fluid and can be controlled such that the high-temperature regenerator, the compressor and the expander form either part of the charging circuit or part of the discharging circuit. The charging circuit, the discharging circuit and the high-temperature regenerator have the same working gas (A) so that the working gas (A) comes into direct contact with the storage material of the high-temperature regenerator both in the charging circuit and in the discharging circuit.

Energy storage device and method for storing energy

An energy storage device for storing energy including: a high-temperature regenerator containing a storage material and a working gas as heat transfer medium for the purpose of exchanging heat between the storage material and the traversing working gas, a closed charging circuit for the working gas, including a first compressor, a first expander, a first recuperator having a first and a second heat exchange duct, the high-temperature regenerator and a pre-heater, wherein the first compressor is coupled to the first expander by a shaft, a discharging circuit for the working gas, and including a switch that selectively connects the high-temperature regenerator to either the charging circuit or the discharging circuit, such that the circuit containing the high-temperature regenerator forms a closed circuit.

A multi or single-stage turbocompressor with at least one compressor wheel fastened to a shaft. The shaft is mounted in a turbocompressor housing which, behind the hub disc of the compressor wheel, includes an interior housing region as well as in front of the hub disc of the compressor wheel a front interior housing region. The driven compressor wheel delivers a fluid from an inlet channel to an outlet channel. The front interior housing region includes a wheel lateral space from which an extraction channel for the extraction of fluid is provided.

Filter device

The invention relates to a fluid-tight cable duct () which is used to guide a cable () into a chamber () which can be impinged upon by pressure, and which comprises a housing (), at least one cable () and one first and one second seal () which can be pressure-loaded. The two pressure-loaded seals () and the housing () define an inner hollow chamber (), and the cable () enters into the inner hollow chamber () via the first seal (), through which the inner hollow chamber () extends, and exits the inner hollow chamber () via the second seal (). The inner hollow chamber () comprises a pressure discharge opening () which leads into an outer chamber () which is located outside the chamber () which can be impinged upon by pressure.

Fluid-tight cable duct

The compressor apparatus comprises a radial compressor () for the compression of a gas and also an electric motor () for driving the radial compressor (), wherein the radial compressor () and the electric motor () are arranged in a pressure housing () which is provided with a gas inlet duct () and also a gas outlet duct (), and also comprises an encapsulated apparatus () arranged in the pressure housing (), the inner space of the encapsulated apparatus being fluid conductingly connected to a pressure reducing apparatus ().
