The invention relates to an aqueous dispersion which includes a mixture composed of the active ingredients carbendazime, 2-(thiocyanomethylthio)-benzothiazole and 2-methylthio-4-t-butyl-amino-6-cyclopropylamino-s-triazine. Further active ingredients with algicidal or fungicidal effect can optionally be present in the dispersion. The dispersion can be used for the fungicidal and algistatic finishing of paints, varnishes and plasters.

A skin antiseptic and hand disinfectant composition is disclosed. The composition comprises a glycerol monoalkyl ether is a glycerol 1-C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 alkyl ether and an aliphatic C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl alcohol.

Deodorant compositions comprise glycerin monoalkyl ethers of the formula ##STR1## in which R is a branched or unbranched C.sub.6 -C.sub.18 alkyl in combination with other deodorant ingredients. An antimicrobial composition for preserving products or systems containing an aqueous phase comprising from 10 to 60% by weight or tert.-butyl hydroperoxide, from 3 to 50% by weight of a monophenylglycol ether of formulas I or II herein, and the remainder a diluent which is water, an organic solvent or a mixture of water and organic solvent; and a method of use of the antimicrobial composition. The antimicrobial composition may additionally include up to about 20% by weight of a biocide selected from certain non-halogenated phenols, certain heterocyclic compounds and guanidine, phthalimide and urea derivatives.
