A method of controlling a set of devices (and) is proposed. The method is performed by a voice-controlled device (). In response to receiving (S) a first voice command of a user comprising a first reference to at least one device of the set of devices and a control command to be performed on the at least one device of the set of devices, the voice-controlled device presents (S) an identifier in association with each of the at least one device of the set of devices. In response to receiving (S) a second voice command from the user comprising a second reference to one or more of the identifiers, the voice-controlled device controls (S) one or more of the at least one device of the set of devices which can be identified based on the second reference comprised in the second voice command to execute the control command comprised in the first voice command.

Controlling a set of devices by a voice-controlled device

A Transmission Reception Point (TRP) of a wireless communication network () operates with a Time Division Duplexing (TDD) configuration for downlink and uplink communications, and a network node () detects a trigger condition for adapting the TDD configuration, with the trigger condition at least including detection of an impairment condition arising from periodic fading on one or more of the radio links between the TRP and User Equipments (UEs). For example, the network node () determines that the impairment condition exists and satisfies one or more additional criteria, and, in response, adapts the TDD configuration of the TRP, to improve the responsiveness of Link Adaptation (LA) by the TRP (). An advantageous recognition underlying responsive adaptation of the TDD configuration is that the TDD configuration of the TRP () influences the LA time constant or convergence time of the LA algorithm used by the TRP ().

Method and apparatus for link adaptation in a wireless communication network via Tdd configuration control

A device performing operations including identifying occurrence of a trigger sound in the at least one microphone signal. Operations also include predicting probability of occurrence of a subsequent sound having a defined disturbance characteristic in the at least one microphone signal following the occurrence of the trigger sound. Operations further include triggering a remedial action to be performed to mute the at least one microphone signal or to suppress the subsequent sound in the at least one microphone signal when the probability of occurrence of the subsequent sound having the defined disturbance characteristic satisfies a remedial action rule.

Predict and trigger a future response to a predicted background noise based on a sequence of sounds

A method () for selecting from a set of two or more available PUs (e.g. a set of GPUs or a set of TPUs) a PU to serve a UE () (i.e., select the 'best' PU for the UE). The set of available PUs includes at least a first PU and a second PU. The method includes, for each PU included in the set of available PUs, obtaining (s) performance information for the PU. The performance information for the first PU comprises a first time value indicating an estimated amount of time that it will take the first PU to produce a first result. The method also includes obtaining (s) budget information for the UE, wherein the budget information comprises a threshold time value indicating a threshold amount of time. The method further includes selecting (s) a PU from the set of available PUs based on the stored performance information and the budget information for the UE.

Selecting a processing unit to serve a user equipment (UE)

A method is provided which is performed by an online meeting application executed by an electronic device. The method includes, during an ongoing online meeting while the electronic device is operative in a perester mode, sending a first presentation stream to participant devices. The method receives a presentation quality metric from each of the participant device, where the presentation quality metric indicates how the first presentation stream is played out through the participant device. The method then displays an indication of the presentation quality metric on a display device for review by a user of the electronic device. Related electronic devices are disclosed.

Screen-sharing confirmation for online meetings

A network node () identifies radio beams () that are affected by periodic fading at a User Equipment (UE) () and penalizes the identified beams () with respect to a serving-beam selection procedure that is used to select a serving radio beam () for the UE (). For example, among a set () of radio beams () that are candidates for serving the UE (), the serving-beam selection procedure selects one or more of the candidate beams () according to rankings determined from radio-signal measurements reported by the UE () or from measurements on Sounding Reference Signals (SRS) transmitted by the UE (). In this context, penalizing a beam () means discounting its ranking for purposes of considering it within the beam-selection procedure.

Method and apparatus for beam selection in a wireless communication network

Disclosed is a method performed by an airborne base station () arranged at an aircraft () and providing radio coverage to a wireless device () residing in the aircraft (). It is provided a method for enabling rendering of user-specific information using a display device, the method being performed by a user device comprising a camera, the user device being separate from the display device. The method comprises the steps of: determining a selected display device and creating a logical association between the user device and the selected display device; capturing at least one image of the display device using the camera; decoding the at least one image, resulting in decoded content; and rendering the decoded content for a user of the user device in a location corresponding to the selected display device.

Enabling rendering of user-specific information using a display device

There is provided mechanisms for requesting radio resources from a second terminal device. A method is performed by a first terminal device. The method comprises identifying an increasing need for use of radio resources. The method comprises transmitting, via a sidelink to the second terminal device, a request for using radio resources allocated to the second terminal device. The method comprises receiving, via the sidelink, a response from the second terminal device. The response pertains to whether the second terminal device has granted the first terminal device to use at least some of the requested radio resources or not. The method comprises providing, towards a network node serving the first terminal device, a notification of that the first terminal device has requested the radio resources from the second terminal device and/or of that the second terminal device has granted the first terminal device to use at least some of the requested radio resources.

Handling of radio resource between terminal devices

A user terminal emulation server maintains a database identifying network addresses, UI capabilities, and locations of I/O user devices. Communication sessions are established between first and second user terminal emulation applications and respective first and second I/O user devices proximately located to respective first and second users and which provide acceptable combined I/O user interfaces to the first and second users. Further, the system sets up a parallel discussion group for the first communication device and the subgroup of communication devices, provides the digital representations of speech of the first communication device and the subgroup of communication devices only to the devices of the parallel discussion group so that each device of the parallel discussion group is able to play back the digital representations of speech of the other devices of the parallel discussion group, and provides the digital representations of speech of the plurality of communication devices except the first communication device and the subgroup of communication devices.

A user terminal emulation server is provided that provides operational functionality of a user terminal using a networked set of I/O user devices that are determined to be proximately located to a user and to have user interface capabilities that are combinable to provide the user with the ability to receive or initiate a communication service with another user terminal through a network entity. The method comprises obtaining an angle spread value for signal paths towards a second radio transceiver device. The method comprises performing a beam management procedure for selecting which directional beam to use for communication with the second radio transceiver device by transmitting or receiving reference signals in a candidate set of directional beams. Which directional beams to include in the candidate set of directional beams is dependent on the angle spread value by the angle spread value determining sparsity of the directional beams in the candidate set of directional beams.
