The present invention relates to a method for detection, identification, and/or quantification of one or more microbes, microbial peptides, or compounds of microbial origin, comprising the steps of: (a). contacting an object, a substance, or a sample with a luminescent conjugated oligothiophene (LCO); (b). detecting at least one signal of the luminescent conjugated oligothiophene (LCO) of a); and (c). based on said at least one detected signal in b), determining the presence, identity, and/or quantity of the one or more microbes, microbial peptides, or compounds of microbial origin on said object or in said sample. The present invention further relates to diagnostics and a method of diagnosis of microbes, microbial peptides, or compounds of microbial origin.

Detection of microbial peptides

A method for handling transmission of error indication messages in a communication network is provided. A destination computer associated with a destination address receives a user data packet from a source computer associated with a source address. A determination is made as to whether a destination identifier included in the user data packet is known. If it is determined that the destination identifier is known, then the user data packet is transmitted to a destination associated with the destination identifier. Else, the transmission of the first error indication message is delayed and the transmission of subsequent error indication messages is paced if subsequent user data packets received from the source computer include the unknown destination identifier.

Method and system for handling error indications

The present invention relates to oligothiophene derivatives binding specifically to neural stem cells and neural cancer stem cells. More specifically, the invention relates to methods for detecting neural stem cells or neural cancer stem cells using said oligothiophene derivatives in a biological sample, as well as uses and kits relating thereto.

Oligothiophene derivate as molecular probes

The invention relates to methods for measuring conformational changes and self-assembly/aggregation of proteins, especially the formation of amyloid fibrils, using conjugated polyelectrolytes. The conjugate polyelectrolyte is exposed to the protein whereby the conjugated polyelectrolyte and the protein of interest interact, and a change of a property of the polyelectrolyte in response to conformational changes of the protein is observed. The detected change is used to determine different conformations of the protein, especially the formation of amyloid fibrils.
