A hybrid connection element, in particular a bearing outer element of a wheel bearing, includes a core part made of steel and a reinforcement part made of plastic. The reinforcement part at least partially encases the core part. The core part includes a hollow cylindrical bearing unit extending in an axial direction and a flange extending in a radial direction. The reinforcement part includes at least one reinforcement rib which transmits force between the bearing unit and the flange of the core part.

Wheel bearing unit

A seal arrangement for a wheel bearing having first bearing part and a second bearing part integrally connected to a wheel bearing flange, between which bearing parts rolling elements are guided. The sealing arrangement includes: a carrier element, which is connected to the first bearing part and an elastic element is provided on the carrier element. The elastic element has at least one sealing lip, and the carrier element has a fastening section, which is connected to the first bearing part. A stop part is fastened to the second bearing part with which the at least one sealing lip is in rubbing contact. The wheel bearing flange has an axial projection at least partially surrounds an axial projection of the first bearing part, and an inner surface of the axial projection of the wheel bearing flange forms a seat for the stop part.

Method for producing a composite rolling bearing

A wheel hub () having a radially extending wheel flange () which has fastening holes (), having a cylindrical projection which extends from the wheel flange () axially on the vehicle side and which serves for at least partially receiving a rolling bearing, and having a centering device which is mounted axially on the wheel side. A high rigidity of the wheel hub () and/or of the wheel bearing unit is realized with little material usage. One possibility arises by the centering device of a wheel hub being regarded as the product of the compromise between rigidity and possible material removal. In this regard, a particular arrangement of the webs that form the centering device is provided which leads to a particularly advantageous solution, specifically by virtue of the webs () being oriented in the same radial direction (A, B) as the fastening holes () of the wheel flange ().

An ABS encoder arrangement for a driven wheel bearing unit, with a multi-pole ring, a sensor device with a sensor head, and an annular cap element that has an annular wall portion which shields a cap interior against the exterior. The annular wall section extends through an intermediate region lying between the multi-pole ring and an end face of the sensor head. An extension concentric with the axis of rotation of the multi-pole ring and extending axially over a circumferential area of an articulated shaft head is connected to the annular wall section on a side facing away from the multi-pole ring. In the end portion of the extension facing away from the multi-pole ring and extending over the articulated shaft head, the extension forms a circumferential profile that radially stiffens the extension and forms an annular edge which extends into a circumferential groove of the articulated shaft head and forms a channel cross-section open to the outside.

An ABS encoder arrangement including an annular disk core which bears a multipole structure, and a sealing ring element including an angular ring and an elastomer body forming a sealing lip structure, the angular ring including a lateral surface portion and an annular disk portion which protrudes radially inwards, the annular disk core being designed so as to project radially inwards beyond the inner circumferential surface of the lateral surface portion of the angular ring so as to form an annular projection, and a filling ring formed from an elastomer material being attached to the inner circumferential surface, the thickness of said filling ring being larger in radial direction than the size of the projection of the annular disk core in radial direction.

An inner raceway () having a rolling element raceway facing radially outward, for an angular contact bearing arrangement, and particularly an angular ball bearing arrangement, where a cylindrical surface which is situated at the furthest outward position radially is included as a seal seat. Such inner raceways are used in wheel bearing units, for example, which have an orbital rivet bond, which in turn can also form an end-face gearing (). The orbital rivet bond and the axial extension () of the inner raceway form an annular gap () which leads to a configuration where a decoupling of loads from the inner raceway () prevents an undesired deformation of the same. In addition, advantages result from the sealing of the region of the orbital rivet bond and/or the end-face gearing () thereof.

In summary, the invention relates to a method for forming an end-side toothing arrangement of a roiling bearing, in particular a wheel bearing. The aim is to improve the uniformity of the end-side toothing arrangement and to allow a greater tooth depth. This is achieved by two method steps in that, in a first step before the reshaping of an end piece of a hub, a die is axially arranged on the rolling bearing in a preassembled state and, in a second step during the reshaping of the end piece and the shaping of the end-side toothing arrangement, the die radially delimits a radial recess of the rolling rivet collar as it forms. In addition, the die reduces or prevents radial widening of the inner ring.

A wheel bearing unit which has an outer ring, one or two inner rings and load-transmitting rolling elements arranged between the two rings. An orbitally formed shoulder of a wheel hub is provided for the pre-stressing of the wheel bearing unit via the inner ring, and a toothed ring which has an outward-facing radial tooth system is arranged on the inner ring, as is usual in wheel bearing units with all-wheel drive capability. The wheel bearing unit has a small axial width which benefits the handling characteristics of a vehicle by attaching the toothed ring to the orbitally formed shoulder and transmitting the drive torques via this attachment. Welding and a plastically formed tooth system on the orbitally formed shoulder are proposed as examples of such fastening.
