A wind turbine blade maintenance platform () including a frame having a blade access area () structured and arranged to accommodate blade () of a wind turbine, a tower end (), and a front end (), and sealing means () structured and arranged to contact the blade () is described. Such a platform should allow working at the blade () even at rainy weather. To this end the sealing means () includes a drain path (), wherein the drain path () opens into the blade access area ().

In addition, the water intrusion prevention system () includes an umbrella sheet () disposed over the connecting means (), the umbrella sheet () covering an upper side of the pressing means () and protruding laterally downwards away from the connecting means () round about the turbine blade () if the water prevention system () is mounted on the turbine blade (). The umbrella sheet () sealingly adjoins the collar portion ().
