The present disclosure provides a system that may receive first sensor data associated with first measurements of multiple components of respective multiple medical systems; may determine first one or more classifiers based at least on first user input; may receive second sensor data associated with second measurements of the multiple components; may determine, based at least on the first one or more classifiers and based at least on the second sensor data, at least two services to be provided to respective at least a first two of the multiple medical systems; may receive third sensor data associated with third measurements of multiple components respectively associated with the at least the first two of the multiple medical systems; and may determine, without the first user input and without second user input, second one or more classifiers based at least on the third sensor data.

System and method of utilizing data of medical systems

In certain embodiments, a system for controlling a laser device comprises a laser device, a distance meter, a haptic sensation generator, and a computer. The laser device generates a laser beam with a focal point. The distance meter measures a distance between the focal point and a target of an eye of a patient. The haptic sensation generator generates an acoustic field that projects a sensory pattern onto a user. The computer: receives the distance from the distance meter; determines the pattern corresponding to the distance according to a function in which the distance is a variable; and instructs the haptic sensation generator to generate the acoustic field that projects the determined pattern.

The present disclosure provides a one-piece patient interface for single-stage docking of a femtosecond laser. The one-piece patient interface includes an upper circular portion, a lower conical portion integrally formed with the upper circular portion, an applanation plate in the lower conical portion, and a vacuum connection. The applanation plate may be at least partially coated with an applanation plate coating that is substantially transparent to treatment wavelengths of the femtosecond laser and substantially reflective to non-treatment wavelengths. The disclosure relates to a pulsed laser system including a laser source that generates a laser beam, a scanner that controls the location of a beam focal point of the laser beam and also the location of a photodisruption formed at the beam focal point in a cornea of an eye, a computer that generates instructions to the laser source and scanner to direct the formation of a regular photodisruption pattern in the cornea, and a noise source that disturbs the location of each photodisruption to cause an irregular photodisruption pattern to form in the cornea, such that diffraction of light by the cornea after formation of the photodisruption pattern is decreased or avoided.

In certain embodiments, a system for controlling a laser device comprises a laser device, a haptic sensation generator, a gesture detector, and a computer. The laser device generates a laser beam with a focal point to perform a procedure on a patient. The haptic sensation generator generates an acoustic field that projects a sensory pattern onto a user, where the sensory pattern operates as a user controller related to the procedure. The gesture detector detects a gesture of the user interacting with the user controller, and provides a description of the gesture. An apparatus for treatment of an eye comprises a source of pulsed laser radiation, and a control device for controlling a focus of the laser radiation to generate an incision figure. The incision figure defines a corneal flap, a first auxiliary channel and a second auxiliary channel. The corneal flap is connected to adjoining corneal tissue in a hinge region, and has a flap underside parted-off from adjoining corneal tissue by a bed incision. The first auxiliary channel extends from the hinge region to an outer surface of the eye and is adapted to remove gases that develop during the generation of the bed incision. The second auxiliary channel extends along an edge of the bed incision, is connected to the first auxiliary channel, and extends beyond the hinge region. The control device is configured to generate the second auxiliary channel prior to the bed incision.

The present invention concerns a method for predicting the potential for aggressive growth and/or the risk to progress to high grade cancer for tumors in cell based detection procedures. In one aspect the invention concerns the detection of overexpression of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor gene products as a tool for predicting the progression risk and/or potential for aggressive growth of tumors. In a second aspect the invention concerns predicting the progression risk and/or potential for aggressive growth in tumors on the basis of the simultaneous co-detection of the presence of overexpression of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor gene products together with the expression of markers for active cell proliferation. Further the invention concerns preparations of probes for diagnosis namely for predicting the progression risk and/or the potential for aggressive growth of tumors.

Method for prediction of the progression risk of tumors

The present invention relates to a method for the early diagnosis of neoplastic disorders such as cancers as well as their precursor stages, particularly cancers of the respiratory tract, the urinary system, the reproductive tract, cancer associated with HPV infection or cancer of the anogenital tract, from solubilized body samples. The invention is also directed to test kits usable for this purpose as well as in-vitro diagnostic devices.
