A connector assembly including a first connector having a primary locking lever that is configured to mate with a second connector having a primary striker. The primary locking lever includes a beam extending along a mating axis and a primary latch configured to engage the primary striker. The connector assembly includes a connector position assurance (CPA) device slideably mounted to the first connector. The primary latch blocks movement of the CPA device from an initial position to a final position until the first connector and the second connector are fully mated. The CPA device defines a lateral flange that inhibits movement of a secondary latch of the CPA device under the primary latch that would allow the CPA device to move from the initial position prior to the full mating of the first connector and the second connector.

Connector with connector position assurance device

A connector includes an electromagnetic shield formed of conductive material with at least two depending, conductive, reinforcement sidewalls that each have a plurality of conductive depending sidewall legs distributed about a periphery of the shield and extending upwardly. The shield includes at least one conductive ground tab extending from an edge such that the shield provides a ground path directly from a circuit board to a connector housing. The shield defines at least one opening for receiving an alignment post and at least one additional rectangular opening to permit access to an electrical terminal positioned below the sheet. The rectangular opening may be aligned with terminals positioned within connector housing.

Electrical connector shield

A filtered electrical connection header assembly for an electrical device, and methods for assembling a filtered connection header assembly for an electrical device, are disclosed. An electrical connection header may include a housing for an electrical circuit and a connection header assembly secured to the housing that includes a plurality of electrical pins. The pins may each include a first portion, and a second portion oriented generally orthogonal to the first portion. The second portions of the pins extend into the housing to contact the electrical circuit. A forward end of a connector shroud may receive a pin stabilizer having a plurality of apertures that receive the first portion of the pins for engagement with a mating connector. The electrical connection header may further include a filter assembly configured to filter a signal transmitted though the pins that is secured to the external surface of the housing.

Top mount filtered header assembly

A terminal side load electrical connector positions a series of terminals of a flex circuit into a core in unison. The core has a peripheral surface extending between a contact surface and a conductor surface. The terminals are assembled to the core through the peripheral surface. A housing has a conductor opening opposite to a contact opening. The core with the pre-assembled terminals insert into the housing through the conductor opening. The contact surface of the core is exposed through the contact opening of the core. The housing engages the peripheral surface of the core thereby preventing the disengagement of the terminals from the core.
