A collet member for a colleting fixture includes a monolithic collet body including a clamping block engaging outer wall and a workpiece engaging inner wall extending circumferentially between first and second end walls, each of the outer wall, the inner wall, and the first and second end walls extending axially from a radial wall to define an internal cavity, and a plurality of rods extending axially from the radial wall within the internal cavity.

A collet member for a colleting fixture includes a monolithic collet body having a clamping block engaging outer wall and a workpiece engaging inner wall extending circumferentially between first and second end walls, with each of the outer wall, the inner wall, and the first and second end walls extending axially between first and second radial walls to enclose at least one internal cavity.

A welding fixture for supporting first and second workpieces in a coaxial relationship along a workpiece axis relative to each other includes a base, a left clamp on the base for holding a first workpiece, and a right clamp on the base for holding a second workpiece on an opposite side of a welding plane in a coaxial relationship with the first workpiece. The fixture also includes a left handle on the base for operating the right clamp, and a right handle on the base for operating the left clamp.

An orbital weld head includes a metal insert and rotor. The covers are made from mica laminate. A metal spring/brush that is preferably one piece side loads the rotor against the insert. The rotor and insert have interengaging portions, preferably trapezoidal, that cause the rotor to move axially when it expands from heat, thus minimizing binding.
