A curable composition is provided comprising an oligomer having a plurality of pendent and/or terminal ethylenically unsaturated, free-radically polymerizable functional groups, a free-radically polymerizable crosslinking agent, and/or a diluent monomer, and a photoinitiator. The composition, when cured, is non-yellowing, exhibits low shrinkage and low birefringence making it suitable for many optical applications such as optical lenses, optical fibers, prisms, light guides, optical adhesives, and optical films.

Curable compositions for optical articles

A solar control glazing laminate may include a solar control film disposed between first and second polyvinyl butyral layers and first and second glazing substrates. The solar control film may include an infrared radiation reflecting polymeric film and a polymeric binder layer disposed on the infrared radiation reflecting polymeric film. The polymeric binder layer may include a polyester and cross-linked multi-functional acrylate segments and may have infrared radiation absorbing nanoparticles dispersed therein.

A film can include a first layer, a second layer disposed on the first layer and a polymerized composition disposed between the first and second layers and attaching the first layer to the second layer, the composition including perfluoroalkylsulfonamidoethyl acrylate, aliphatic urethane acrylate oligomer and acrylate monomer. A film can include a substrate and a plurality of structures disposed on the substrate, each of the structures formed by polymerizing a composition including perfluoroalkylsulfonamidoethyl acrylate, aliphatic urethane acrylate oligomer and acrylate monomer.

Optical material adhesive, film including optical material and projection screen including film

A composition having at least about 10 percent perfluoroalkylsulfonamideoethyl acrylate; at least about 5 percent aliphatic urethane acrylate oligomer; at least about 1 percent acrylate monomer; and less than about 84 percent other reactive and non-reactive components. The composition, with the addiction of a light absorbing pigment, is particularly useful as a light absorbing adhesive in an optical element such as a rear projection screen that incorporates totally internally reflecting structures to disperse the light passing through the screen.

Composition for microstructured screens

A process, system, and materials for lamination of anti-reflective glass to the screen of a CRT display, including a polymerizable adhesive and laminated articles are described. The photopolymerizable adhesive composition including, in certain embodiments, an epoxy resin and a photosensitive initiating system are disclosed.
