An apparatus for providing board level shielding of Electromagnetic Interference in a printed circuit board is disclosed. The apparatus includes a plastic part, a metal conformal coating and a form-in-place Electromagnetic Interference gasket. The plastic part is configured in one or more compartments to provide an enclosure, and is attached to the printed circuit board. The metal conformal coating is applied continuously to one or more surfaces of the plastic part. The form-in-place Electromagnetic Interference gasket is applied on top of the metal conformal coating in an area of a part flange.

Board level shielding module

A EMI shielding gasket for interposition between a first and a second part of an electronic device. The gasket includes a foam or like resilient inner member, and an electrically-conductive member, which may be layers of a conductive particle-filled resin. The inner member has opposing first and second surfaces extending along an x and y-axis, and a thickness dimension extending along a normal z-axis and through which is formed a plurality of vias. The electrically-conductive member includes first and second portions, each overlaying at least a part of the corresponding first or second surface and providing electrical conductivity in the direction of the x and y-axes, and third portions each being received in a corresponding one of the vias and providing electrical conductivity between the first and the second portion in the direction of the z-axis.

EMI shielding gasket construction

An electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding gasket for mounting on a substrate having a surface. The gasket is formed of a resilient, elongate core member extending along a central longitudinal axis and having an outer circumferential surface defininga cross-sectional profile, and an electrically-conductive outer member having an inner and an outer surface and extending from a first distal end to a sheathing portion. The sheathing portion of the outer member covers a portion of the circumferential surface of the core member and extends from a first proximal end to a second proximal end. The first distal end of the outer member and the first proximal end of the sheathing portion thereof define a first inner shear surface therebetween which is attachable to the substrate. The uncovered portion of the circumferential surface of the core member defines an interface surface for disposition on the surface of the substrate.

EMI shielding gasket having shear surface attachments

A shielding device such as for a primer fuse is disclosed. The shielding device is multi-layered, and combines the shielding affectivity of metal foil with electrically conductive adhesive and a dielectric film. Upon application of the shielding device, the primer in the base of the shell is shielded, yet an electrical connection can be made upon firing the pin to fire the round without requiring removal of the shielding device.

EMI/RFI/ESD shield for electro-mechanical primer fuses

A thermally conductive interface material formed of a polymeric binder and one or more thermally fillers is disclosed. One or both of the major surfaces of the interface material has a means for removing air from between that surface and the surface to which it is attached, such as a heat sinker an electronic component. Alternatively, the heat sink or component may have the air removal means instead of or in addition to the interface material. The air removal means may be a series of embossments, channels or grooves or throughholes. Preferably, the interface is a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive material and more preferably, it is in the form of a tape.

A masking tape for EMI shielding applications comprising an adhesive layer, a metal foil layer adhered to the top of the adhesive layer, two or more adhesive strips running parallel to the edges of the tape and extending the length of the foil along the strips are preferably inset from the outer edges of the foil so as to form a stepped or notch-like configuration. A mask layer is attached to the top of the strips. The mask alone or the mask and strips are designed to be removed after use. The tape is applied to a substrate such as a computer cabinet, the cabinet is then sprayed with a paint or finish coat and the mask is removed to reveal a conductive metal foil surface to which a conductive EMI shield can be mounted.

Conductive masking laminate

The treadle assembly of the present invention comprises one or more lightweight flexible circuits completely sealed within an envelope of resilient elastomeric material. This treadle is thus more resistant to water, wear, road salt, and other environmental factors than conventional treadle assemblies.

Treadle assembly

An electrically conductive substrate having a conductive layer formed on one surface of the substrate, a busbar and electrical lead assembly is adhesively bonded onto the conductive layer with the electrical lead portion of the assembly being connected to an electrical source or ground. The substrate can be used as a window or viewing screen. The conductive layer can be used as a defogger or as a means for dissipating static electricity or errant electrical emissions.
