A bonnet latch bracket arrangement that is adaptable to different vehicle models comprises a bonnet latch, a bracket member and a vehicle body member. The bonnet latch is attachable to the vehicle body member by means of the bracket member, and the bracket member is adapted to take up dimensional differences between the bonnet latch and the vehicle body member in a longitudinal direction, lateral direction and/or height direction of a vehicle. Furthermore, the adaptability to different vehicle models is achievable by varying the geometry of the bracket member according to the dimensions of the vehicle model. A modular system for configuration of a bonnet latch bracket arrangement to different vehicle models and a method for adapting a bonnet latch bracket arrangement to fit in different vehicle models are also provided.

Bonnet latch bracket arrangement

The present disclosure relates to an inner panel for a vehicle bonnet. The inner panel comprises a peripheral portion, extending along at least a portion of a periphery of the inner panel, and a central portion, located within the peripheral portion. The central portion has a longitudinal extension and a transverse extension. The central portion comprises a reinforcing framework, a portion of which forms an arch-shaped member. A longitudinal extension of the arch-shaped member is equal to or greater than 30% of the longitudinal extension of the inner panel. A transverse extension of the arch-shaped member is equal to or greater than 40% of the transverse extension of the inner panel. The disclosure further relates to a bonnet comprising such an inner panel and an outer panel.

Inner panel for a vehicle bonnet

A hinge arrangement for a bonnet of a vehicle comprises a hinge portion adapted to be attached to a body of the vehicle, a bonnet portion adapted to be attached to the bonnet, and a rear deployment guiding element adapted to control transition of the hinge arrangement between a normal position and a deployed position. The hinge portion comprises one or more hinge pivot axes providing a hinged connection between the bonnet and the body of the vehicle allowing opening of the bonnet. The bonnet portion is arranged to be in a fixed position relative to an upper portion of the hinge portion during opening of the bonnet. The bonnet portion as a whole is arranged to be translationally displaced at least upwards in relation to the upper portion of the hinge portion during a transition of the hinge arrangement between the normal position and the deployed position.

Hinge arrangement for a bonnet and a bonnet arrangement

The present disclosure relates to a bonnet arrangement for a vehicle, the bonnet arrangement including a bonnet and a hinge arrangement, which is adapted to be attached to the bonnet. The hinge arrangement is arranged to permit pivotal displacement of the bonnet relative to the vehicle around a first pivot axis located in the hinge arrangement. The bonnet arrangement further includes a passive energy absorbing member positioned and arranged so as to absorb impact energy from an impact occurring at the bonnet in a region above the hinge arrangement. The energy absorbing member may be adapted to be attached to the bonnet and/or to the hinge arrangement.

Bonnet arrangement

The present disclosure relates to a hinge and support member arrangement for providing a hinged connection between a bonnet and a body structure of a vehicle. The hinge and support member arrangement comprises a hinge mechanism providing a hinged connection for opening and closing of the bonnet, and a support member adapted to be attached to the body structure of the vehicle and further adapted to carry a fender. In addition, the hinge mechanism is adapted to be connected to the body structure via the support member. The disclosure further relates to a support member for use in such a hinge and support member arrangement and a vehicle comprising such a hinge and support member arrangement.

Hinge and support member arrangement

A vehicle hood stop arranged to collapse if the vehicle hood is struck by an object with an impact force exceeding a predetermined limit. The hood stop includes an upper section arranged below a lower surface of the hood, a lower section arranged to be attached to the vehicle, and at least one impact absorbing sections, where a first impact absorbing sections includes at least three collapsible supporting members arranged to diverge from one another as they extend from the upper section toward the lower section.

Pedestrian safety hood stop

The present invention relates to a pedestrian safety structure for a motor vehicle body having a soft-nose outer skin panel and a bonnet providing an overlying structure for a grille opening reinforcing front cross member. The grille opening reinforcing front cross member carries a plurality of brackets. The brackets are designed to support loads distributed thereupon by the overlying structure, vertical (Z) loads in the range of 1.0-1.5 kN and longitudinal (X) loads in the range of 0.4-0.6 kN. The brackets are further designed for energy absorbing deformation when subjected to longitudinal (X) loads distributed thereupon by the overlying structure above 0.6 kN, such that the plurality of brackets provide an energy absorbing upper leg impact zone for the protection of pedestrians in the event of a collision with the motor vehicle.

Pedestrian safety structure for a motor vehicle body

A hood latch structure () for a motor vehicle body having a soft-nose outer skin panel () and a hood () providing an overlying structure for a grille opening reinforcing front cross member (). The grille opening reinforcing front cross member () supports at least one hood latch () carried by a mounting member () protruding towards the front of the vehicle. Mounting member () is designed to collapse downwards (Z) causing the hood latch () to move downwards (Z) when subjected to longitudinal (X) loads above a predetermined threshold load distributed thereupon by the overlying structure such that the hood latch () moves away to provide a forgiving upper leg impact zone for the protection of pedestrians in the event of a collision with the motor vehicle.
