This disclosure relates to a cutting tool having a tool head that can be rotated about its mid-axis and has a front end face and a circumferential surface, a plurality of cutting elements and associated chip grooves arranged to be distributed in the circumferential direction on the circumferential surface, and a channel system running through the tool head for the coolant supply to the cutting elements. According to this disclosure, the end face of the tool head has coolant grooves, which each lead from an outlet opening of the channel system to an end opening in a chip groove, wherein the longitudinal openings of the coolant grooves are covered by a baffle plate fixed to the front face of the tool head.

This disclosure relates to a machine tool comprising a tool holder which rotates relative to a workpiece to be machined and has a tool axis, and a plurality of cutting inserts that are removably attached to the tool holder, the active cutting edges of said cutting inserts having a common cutting circle which is coaxial to the tool axis. According to this disclosure, the tool holder has a cylinder-type insert seat shell for radially positioning the cutting inserts, which rotates about the tool axis. The cutting inserts have at least one contact surface that can be brought into contact with the insert seat shell.

The invention relates to a dual-cutting drilling tool. The drilling tool comprises a base body () which is rotatable about a drill axis () and in which two plate seats () are arranged on the front face thereof for receiving identically configured alternating cutting plates (). The alternative cutting plates are respectively provided on a main cutting edge () thereof with an adjacent first face (), forming a cutting wedge, and a free surface (). The main cutting edges () of the alternating cutting plates () complement each other in the region of a central, offset cutting part ('), forming a cross-cutting edge which is interrupted by a center hole (). The aim of the Invention is to reduce the risk of breakage in the center area of the alternating cutting plates and to provide better guidance for the tool. A tool includes a shaft and a blade support which is disposed in a removable manner on the face of the shaft, preferably embodied as a drill bit. One end of the blade support is provided with a transversal rib that extends beyond an end face. It can be inserted into an accommodating device of the shaft, which is delimited by a planar counterface, and can be clamped by clamping screws. In order to ensure sufficient torque transmission even with small bore diameters, the accommodating device is provided with two entraining sections that are separated by a central gap, are disposed in a twofold rotationally symmetric manner relative to the tool axis, and protrude from the counterface of the shaft essentially parallel to the axis. Each entraining section encompasses an axially parallel entraining area for an adjacent transversal rib section, which points in the direction of rotation of the shaft.

A cutting plate for rotating tools includes a major cutting edge connected to a minor cutting edge in a radial extension thereof over a cutting corner. A common face joins a longitudinal side of the major cutting edge and the minor cutting edge, while a major flank or a minor flank joins the other side of the major and minor cutting edges. The flank face form a wedge angle The tool is supported on a boring wall with low friction to enable vibration-free machining. A support land near the minor cutting edge has two interspaced support edges. The support edges have the same radial distance from the tool axis over their entire length. Cutting plate for rotating tools

A double or multiple-edged drilling tool has a base body rotatable about a drilling axis, and at least two plate seats arranged on the front face for accommodating identical interchangeable cutting plates. The cutting plates each have a machining face, and a clearance face adjoining a principal cutting edge forming a cutting wedge, and a seat face facing away from the clearance face. A guiding land adjoins radially outwardly through each edge the machining face, the clearance face and optically the seat face. The cutting plates each have a hole for a retaining screw which is screwed into a threaded bore at the front face of the base body. The holes are aligned with their axis perpendicular to the clearance face of the associated cutting plates the threaded bores are aligned inclined to the drilling axis and inclined to each other in the base body.

Drilling tool

A fixing device for fixing a tool, preferably a turning tool, to a toolholder, includes a shank and at least one cutting part. The toolholder has an insertion opening for accommodating the tool shank. The fixing device includes a clamping element which is stored in such a way that it can partially rotate in the holder around an axis of rotation which is perpendicular to the axis of insertion of the insertion opening. The clamping element also includes a partially cylindrical surface section which is eccentric in relation to the axis of rotation. Furthermore, the shank surface has a partially cylindrical, open-edged recess perpendicular to the shank axis, into which recess the clamp element can be screwed by its partially cylindrical surface section when mounting the tool shank.
