A switch assembly for the lift-and-slide roof of a vehicle that includes a housing, an actuating element, a first pair of movable electrical switching contacts, and a second pair of movable electrical switching contacts. Each longitudinal wall of the housing comprises a cross-shaped groove including a cross-shaped guiding track. The cross shaped groove receives a projecting member of the actuating element. The guiding track receives a pressure piece carried by the actuating element. The cross shaped groove has end surfaces which form abutment surfaces for the corresponding surfaces of the projecting member.

Roof switch assembly

A device for electrically interconnecting two relatively rotating members, such as a vehicle steering wheel and steering column assembly, has a stationary housing portion carried with the steering column assembly and a moving housing portion carried with the steering wheel. A plurality of flexible, electrically conductive wires are spirally wound around the device between the two housing portions. Each conductive wire is guided in a direction-reversing loop formed therein. Each conductive wire is affixed at each of its two respective ends at electrical terminals.

Device for electronically interconnecting two relatively rotating members

A steering column switch, especially for a motor vehicle, contains a switch lever, which is activated transversely and which has a magnetic signal transmitter, to which several stationary magnetic-field sensors coupled to an evaluation unit are allocated for determining the switch positions of the switch lever. The switch lever supports a rotary switch and the signal transmitter and also the magnetic-field sensors are used for determining the switch positions of the rotary switch.

Steering column switch

A steering switch for vehicles, especially a switch for front and back windscreen wiping/washing switches, including two rotating switches arranged as a distance from each other and integrated into a switch lever, said rotating switches including contact bridges provided with a plurality of contact arms which are respectively secured onto a rotating switch element, and impinge upon the switch contact bridges with associated connecting contacts which are connected to the contacts on the edge of the network.

Steering column switch for motor vehicles

An actuating element for an electric switch, especially for a steering wheel switch in a motor vehicle, impinges upon at least one switching contact and is pivotally mounted on a housing of said switch. A firm hinge is provided as a bearing, connecting the actuating element to a latched wall. The wall runs parallel to the wall of the housing or replaces the wall of the housing.

Electrical switch actuating element

A multifunction pushbutton switch for mounting on a steering wheel ( ) of an automobile comprises an oblong housing ( ) accommodating a contact assembly ( ) featuring circuit elements ( ), comprises at least one automatically restoring pushbutton ( ), a switching element ( ) acting on the circuit elements ( ), and comprises an actuating ridge ( ) provided with two opposing actuating faces ( ) to enable variable use of the multifunction pushbutton switch on the steering wheel ( ) of an automobile, the pushbutton ( ) is mounted so as to allow toggling and to be centered on the housing ( ) and has a cross section which transverse to the pushbutton's mounting axis ( ) is symmetric, said mounting axis ( ) extending parallel to the actuating ridge ( ). The housing ( ) is in longitudinal section and cross section symmetric and possesses on one of its long sides ( ), or centered on its underside ( ), a mounting tab ( ) extending essentially radially to the steering column ( ) of the automobile.

Multifunction rocker switch

A steering column switch for motor vehicles comprises at least one wiper/washer switch ( and ), which is an integral part of a switch lever ( ), whereby the contact bridge ( and ) of the wiper/washer switch is held in position on a rotary switch member ( and ) and acts with several contact arms ( ) on switch contact paths ( and ) with associate connection contacts ( and ). The contact bridge ( and ) and the switch contact paths ( and ) interact to transfer switch function data in Gray code. This type of coding permits a reduced number of connection lines ( ) and connection contacts ( and ), compared with the number of switch positions and, at the same time, permits relatively high switching reliability.

A steering column switch (1) comprises a carrier (2) with coordinated plug-in fastening (3), which is secured on a holder of the casing tube of the steering column of a motor vehicle, surrounded by a steering column housing, and keys (26, 30, 39) provided with switch elements. On the carrier (2) a plurality of keys (26, 30, 39) acting in different directions of activation are mounted, and these act on contact elements (13, 14) arranged in the carrier (2). The steering column switch (1) has a compact design and at the same time is capable of transmitting a plurality of switch functions, in particular, those of an electronic entertainment system present in a motor vehicle, and furthermore it is comfortable to operate and can be almost completely preassembled
