The invention relates to a method for operating a closing device, wherein a closing element (), with the aid of a drive motor () controlled by a control unit (), can be displaced in a closing direction up against a stop edge, wherein the control unit () can be shifted into a normal-operation mode, in which position-related information is sensed as the current position of the closing element (), and into a sleeping mode, in which no sensing of position-related information takes place, the method having the following steps: &#x2014;interrogating whether a wake-up condition, in which the control unit () goes from the sleep mode into the normal-operation mode, is present; &#x2014;if the presence of the wake-up condition is established, and if the closing element (), prior to assuming the sleep mode, last moved in the closing direction, the position-related information is subjected (S) to a predetermined correction value in order to correct the position-related information, in respect of an actual position of the closing element (), into an opening direction.

A motor housing assembly houses a motor having a casing defining an axial length and an output shaft extending from the casing. The assembly includes a housing defining a cavity with an open end for receiving the motor and a partially closed end opposite the open end. The housing has a length larger than the axial length of the casing such that the entire casing of the motor can be received within the cavity. The assembly further includes an end cap configured to substantially close the open end of the housing and retain the motor in the housing, a first isolator member configured to be sandwiched between the casing and the end cap to substantially isolate the motor from both the housing and the end cap, and a second isolator member configured to be sandwiched between the casing and the housing to substantially isolate the motor from the housing.

A headlight has a housing accommodating a gas discharge lamp and opening is closeable by a closing part. The gas discharge lamp is connectable by an electrical conductor with a voltage source, which is provided with a plug connection. The first plug part is arranged on the housing while the second plug part is releasable from outside of the housing. The releasable plug part blocks the cover in its position in which it closes the opening so that a removal of the cover for releasing the opening can be performed only after removal of the plug part. It is therefore guaranteed that no voltage applies to the parts of the headlight.

A plug has a two-part housing accommodating a printed board with an electrical screening element for preventing propagation of electrical disturbing radiation during the operation of a gas discharge lamp. A mass of a durable elastic material such as silicon is applied on a part of the periphery of at least one screening element between the screening element and the adjoining housing part. The inner space of the housing is filled with a casting mass of an electrically insulating material in which also an elastic mass is enclosed. The elastic mass uncouples the screening element from the housing and from the casting mass, so that a thermal expansion of the screening element is possible and also vibrations of the plug are not rigidly transmitted to the screening element.

A headlight-light unit for a vehicle mountable in a receptacle of the vehicle has a headlight provided with a headlight housing, a light provided with a light housing and releasably connectable with the headlight, at least one springy locking element arranged on one of the housing, and a holding element on which the locking element is arrestable, the holding element being mountable on the other housing and bringable to different positions along a mounting direction of the light on the other housing.

The motor vehicle headlight includes a gas discharge lamp, a reflector for collecting and directing the light from the light source through an outlet opening, a light window covering the outlet opening, a disk-like filter at least partially absorbing UV radiation generated by the gas discharge lamp located between the gas discharge lamp and the light window in a path of the light transmitted directly transmitted to the light window and reflected from the reflector, at least one electrical conductor arranged on the filter so that, when the filter is broken, the electrical conductor is broken, and a control unit having a safety circuit connected directly to the electrical conductor by two lines. The safety circuit is structured and connected to the gas discharge lamp so that the gas discharge lamp is turned off by the safety circuit when the electrical conductor is broken.
