A ball cock including a housing of a thermoplastic material. The housing is composed of two parts which are integrally connected to each other. A ball plug is made integrally with a pivot of plastics material. The pivot is mounted in a bore extending transversely of the passage opening of the housing. A seal is provided for sealing the pivot to the outside. The plane of separation of the two housing parts extends transversely of the passage opening and through the axis of rotation of the pivot. The two housing parts have recesses at least in the region of the seal for the pivot. The recesses receive a component which is integrally connected in a tight manner with the housing parts.

Ball cock

A device for welding tubular components of thermoplastic material. The device includes a heating device for generating the necessary melting temperature arranged at the circumference and at the abutting ends of the tubular components. The bag or casing is arranged in the region of the welded connection inside the tubular components. The bag or casing is capable of being expanded and pressed against the inner circumference of the tubular components. Pressing the casing against the inner circumference of the tubular components prevents the formation of a welding bead during the welding procedure and serves to generate a welding pressure. After welding has been carried out, the casing is radially contracted and removed from the tubular components.

Device for welding tubular components of thermoplastic material

A multiway cock has a housing with three separate pipe connections disposed in a T-shaped arrangement. A spherical cock plug is located within the housing. Two bearing bosses are provided on the housing offset by 90.degree. relative to one another for providing two different mounting locations for an operating element which selectively positions the cock plug. Different arrangements of the multiway cock can be provided by selectively locating an operating element in one of the bearing bosses while using the same parts for the cock.

Multiway cock

An apparatus for welding tubular components of thermoplastic material. The apparatus includes a heating device for heating the ends of the tubular components to be welded together until the melting range of the thermoplastic material is reached. Two outer support rings which are slid toward each other after the thermoplastic material has melted and an expandable inner support member ensure that welding pressure is built up, so that a welded connection can be obtained which is strong and free of welding beads.

Apparatus for welding tubular components of thermoplastic material

A double-walled pipeline system for flow media with an inner pipeline conduit including fittings, such as, T-pieces, angles, or bends, and instruments, such as, valves, stopcocks, etc., and with an outer pipeline conduit arranged concentrically to the inner pipeline conduit. The outer pipeline conduit includes two-part fittings and instrument casings, so that continuously connected outer annular space is formed in the pipeline system.

Double-walled pipeline system

A gaseous medium, preferably compressed air or nitrogen, is introduced into the interior of the tubular components to be welded together from one end and is discharged at the other end through a throttled outlet opening. As a result, an excess pressure is built up in the interior of the tubular components and the inner wall of the components is cooled. When heating the abutting ends of the tubular components by means of a heating device, the ends are not melted entirely through to the inner walls, so that the formation of an inner welding bead is avoided and the internal pressure creates a welding pressure.

Method of welding tubular components of thermoplastic material

An apparatus for manufacturing a welded connection of tubular components of thermoplastic material includes a bracing device and a heating device to be inserted into the tubular components. The heating device has an expandable hollow body, in the interior of which are arranged an electric heating element and a liquid which expands when heated. When the heating device is heated, the hollow body rests against the ends of the tubular components to be welded together and the necessary welding temperature is transmitted to these components. Since the hollow body rests against the inner circumference of the tubular components, the formation of a welding bead is prevented. After welding has been carried out, the hollow body which has cooled and shrunk is removed by means of a traction strand.
