A method for creating electrical contact between a first superconductive strip conductor and a further electrical conductor element, wherein the first superconductive strip conductor is placed in flat contact against a first main surface of a reactive multilayer film in a contact area of the strip conductor, the second main surface, facing away from the first main surface, of the reactive multilayer film is placed in flat contact against the further electrical conductor element, and a permanent electrically conductive connection is formed between the first superconductive strip conductor and the further electrical conductor element by subsequently igniting an exothermic chemical reaction in the multilayer film. An electrical conductor assembly is able to be contacted using such a method.

The present disclosure relates to cooling devices. The teachings thereof may be embodied in devices for cooling a rotor, which rotates about an axis, wherein the rotor is supported by a central rotor shaft. For example, in a cooling device, the rotor may be supported by a central rotor shaft and comprise a hollow space in the interior of the rotor shaft for accommodating coolant. It may include a first coolant line extending radially outwardly from the hollow space and an annular first distribution line fluidically connected to the hollow space via the first coolant line.

A superconducting coil device includes a superconducting flat conductor having one or more torsional turns. The flat conductor is wound around a winding support to define multiple turns of the conductor around the support. In at least one of the turns, the flat conductor is twisted through approximately 180 degrees about a longitudinal axis of the flat conductor, to thereby switch a contact side of the flat conductor from radially inwardly facing to radially outwardly facing, or vice versa. The contact side of the flat conductor at an inner turn faces a center of the winding and, and at an outer turn faces away from the center of the winding. The inwardly-facing contact side of the strip at an inner turn may be coupled to an inner contact element, and the outwardly-facing contact side at an outer turn may be conductively coupled to an outer contact element.

A coil device with at least one electrical coil winding with superconducting conductor material and a vacuum container is described in which the vacuum container surrounds the coil winding. The coil winding is part of a self-contained circuit for the formation of a continuous current. The closed circuit has a switchable conductor section, the conductor of which can be switched between a superconducting state and a normally conducting state by a magnetic device. The magnetic device has an internal part arranged inside the vacuum container and an external part arranged outside the vacuum container.

A super conductor is disclosed, in particular a high temperature super conductor of a synchronous machine, including a cooling circuit for a coolant. The liquefied coolant in the cold head provided with a condenser is guided to the super conductor which is to be cooled, in particular in the rotor of the synchronous machine and is returned to the condenser in a gaseous form. In order to guide the coolant from the condenser to the super conductor, pressure generated by a component of the coolant evaporated by a heat source is used.

A superconducting machine is disclosed, in particular for use as a generator in a stand-alone power system. In at least one embodiment, the superconducting machine includes a stator and a rotor capable of rotating with respect to the stator. At least one superconducting coil for generating at least two magnetic poles is provided on at least one component part, in particular the rotor, which superconducting coil is cooled via a cooling device; and at least two parallel winding elements are provided on the respective other component part, in particular the stator, in the armature winding for each phase, which winding elements can be connected either in series or in parallel via at least one switching device.

A rectangular coil has several successive windings which are made of a strip-shaped super conductor, which contains at least one core which is embedded in a normal conductive matrix material and which is made of a high-T-super conductor material. The coil is made of a strip-shaped superconductor and does not have additional insulation.

The invention relates to an insulated container () which can be evacuated and has an application () to be cooled, in which insulated container () a vacuum can be built up by means of a vacuum pump (). In order to allow the vacuum pump () to be switched off during normal operation, a getter material () is arranged in the insulated container and binds gas components which penetrate into the insulated container as a result of unavoidable leakages. The invention provides for the getter material to be accommodated in maintenance areas (), which can be disconnected by means of valves () from the working area () which contains the application (). This allows the getter materials () in each maintenance area to be replaced or regenerated, while the operation of the application () to be cooled can be maintained owing to the partitioning of the working area () from the maintenance area ().

A first bearing part is arranged fixedly in terms of rotation on a rotor shaft with permanent magnetic elements arranged next to one another and flux guide elements arranged between them. A second bearing part, separated from the first bearing part by a bearing gap, is provided on the stator and has a structure formed of superconductive high-Tmaterial. The bearing gap is sealed against penetration of ambient air, but allows movement of the first bearing part with respect to the second bearing part while maintaining the seal.

A method involves sheathing a superconductor with a thermoplastic insulation material on all sides. The conductor exits a guide channel that extends in the propulsion direction. A melt hose is extruded from the molten insulation material in the propulsion direction and through a nozzle that has an outlet which embraces the conductor, whereby a distance is kept on all sides. The melt hose is stretched via the propulsion of the conductor. The hose is drawn to the surface of the conductor and is compacted by cooling. The method can especially be used for sheathing band-shaped high-T-superconductors. Materials having processing temperatures between 200&#xb0; C. and 450&#xb0; C., are selected as thermoplastic insulation materials.

Method for insulating a high-tc-superconductor and the use of said method

A fully transposed composite superconductor can be especially used for AD devices and contains subconductors composed according to the Roebel bar principle and containing T superconducting material. Superconductors are provided, that can be laterally bent in the plain of their width B so that the bending radius R is more than 100 times the width B and the bending zone length Hsue et al. '352 publication is more than 20 times the width B. The device for producing the conductor includes devices disposed in series for combining, bending, assembling to a Roebel bar, and fixating the subcontractors.
