A device includes an antenna array with at least four antennas, wherein each antenna has its own feeder line terminal, wherein the feeder line terminals of antennas arranged directly adjacent to one another are geometrically offset from one another by 90&#xb0; in each case. The device further includes a control device configured to feed the individual antennas via their respective feeder line terminals such that the antenna array exhibits different radiation patterns at different points in time. A first radiation pattern shows a polarized field distribution. According to the invention, a second radiation pattern exhibits an unpolarized field distribution.

Device for reverberation of modes

A transceiver for distance measurements between the transceiver and an apparatus is provided. The transceiver has a transmitter configured to emit a first signal portion to be emitted at a first center frequency and a second signal portion to be emitted at a second center frequency so that the first signal portion to be emitted is radiated back from the apparatus to the transceiver as a first reflected signal portion and so that the second signal portion to be emitted is radiated back from the apparatus to the transceiver as a second reflected signal portion. In a heat exchanger unit for conditioning a first fluid, particularly a refrigerant in an air conditioning system, including a heat exchanger, the heat exchanger includes first and second tube element units for heat exchange between a first fluid flowing through the tube elements and a second fluid flowing over the tube elements, wherein the first fluid is supplied first to the first tube element unit so as to flow upwardly therethrough and via an intermediate outlet connector to a compressor stage from where it is transferred to the top of the second tube element unit which is disposed above the first tube element unit and flows downwardly through the second tube element unit to an expansion stage wherein the energy released during expansion in the expansion stage is utilized for the compression of the first fluid in the compressor stage.

Heat exchanger with an expansion stage

A heat exchanger unit is disclosed, the heat exchanger unit including a first tube element unit, a second tube element unit, and an engine machine apparatus having an expansion step unit and a compression step unit. Each of the tube element units is adapted to condition a fluid flowing therethrough. Desirably, the fluid is compressed in the compression step unit and expanded in the expansion step unit in such a manner that technical operation is transferred from the expansion step unit to the compression step unit so that an inner recovery of energy is made possible.

The invention relates to a device for the variable actuation of the gas exchange valves of internal combustion engines, whereby a continuously revolving cam drives an intermediate member which carries out an oscillating, pure rotational movement and moves a drive member in accordance with the respective valve lift curve via a control cam. In order to modify the valve lift curve, the position of the rotational axis of the intermediate member can be modified along an advance curve. The rotational axis of the intermediate member is represented by a pin which is freely rotatable at its guide end and which carries cam plates that are linked therewith in a rotationally fixed manner. Said cam plates define either directly or indirectly the respective required position on the advance curve. The pin is rotated via a suitable joining element.

Device for variable actuation of the gas exchange valves of internal combustion engines

The invention is characterized in that the gas exchange valves of a cylinder are displaced in a displacement unit () jointly and independently of the displacement of the displacement devices of the other cylinders. Every displacement unit () is associated with separate actuators for actuating the same. Angle of rotation sensors () are provided to detect the angle or rotation signals of the crankshaft and the camshaft or any other shaft rotating at half the crankshaft speed. These angle of rotation signals are used to derive the common idle phase of all valves of a cylinder to be jointly adjusted, a control unit () effecting the displacement of every displacement unit () during said common idle phase.

Device for the variable actuation of gas exchange valves of internal combustion engines and method for operating said device

The invention relates to a device for the variable actuation of gas exchange valves for internal combustion engines, wherein at least one cam () pertaining to a camshaft () mounted in a housing rotates according to the engine speed. The cam () first drives an intermediate member () which performs a clear oscillating, rotary movement and has a rotational axis () that can be displaced in the housing parallel to itself along a curve of displacement (), said intermediate member comprising a control cam () having a lifting region () and actuating an output member () that, in turn, actuates at least one valve (). The aim of the invention is to enable one such device to be reliably controlled. To this end, the control cam () has a catch region (), and the intermediate member () is mounted on a bearing having an axis which corresponds to the rotational axis (), said bearing being arranged in such a way that it is guided in a forced manner and can be displaced parallel to the curve of displacement (), by means of an articulation () connected to the cylinder head or the housing or by a slide () that is guided in the housing in a positively locking manner. The invention also relates to a method for operating an internal combustion engine comprising a plurality of cylinders using at least one of the inventive devices.

A collector for a liquid phase of a working medium of an air-conditioning system has a one-piece collecting container with a solid upper end wall and thickened base region for coupling blocks of a high-pressure piping system and a device for emergency emptying. Flow through an upper region of the collecting container takes place in cyclone fashion starting from an inflow channel, whose outflow direction is tangential to the inner surface of the collecting container whereas the outflow from the collecting container takes place via an end piece of a piping system arranged centrally in the collecting container.

Collector for the liquid phase of the working medium of an air-conditioning system

The radial piston or reciprocating engine () has annularly juxtaposed, radially directed piston-cylinder units (). The outward stroke of the pistons () is controlled by the cam () of a common eccentric shaft (), whereas the inward stroke thereof is controlled by a control ring (), which engages in a lateral recess () of each piston () running in the direction of a secant and adapted to a cross-sectional shape of the control ring (). The recess () is then bounded by a base wall of the piston () with which the control ring () is in controlling sliding contact via an inner control face (). The pistons () are hollow and carry on their face the diaphragm of a diaphragm valve. Thus, the reciprocating engine () has a particularly compact construction and can be highly loaded, so that it is particularly suitable as a compressor of a COvehicle air conditioning system.

Reciprocating machine

The reciprocating piston compressor has several parallel cylinder-piston units () in a common compressor casing () and whose pistons () are moved by a rotary wobble plate () by means of a coupling bracket () surrounding sliding pads (). For modifying the wobble plate inclination as a result of a regulated pressure in the compressor casing it is swivellably held by two articulated brackets () on a recess () of the drive shaft (). Together with the recess () and the spacing between the bilateral connection points to the wobble plate (), said articulated brackets () form a four-bar linkage, whose geometry ensures a functionally correct swivelling movement. The four joints (to) of the four-bar linkage are formed by uniaxial swivel joints, whose low frictional resistance leads to an improved control behaviour on controlling the delivery rate of the compressor.

Reciprocating piston compressor

A compressor, in particular an axial piston compressor having an axial piston drive mechanism for the intake and compression of a coolant, has a drive shaft for the drive mechanism with radial bearings of the shaft located at the front and at the rear of the compressor housing. A drive side having a pulley is defined as the front of the compressor, and the compressor includes at least one axial bearing for the shaft, the axial bearing being located in the cylinder head or pressure cover at the rear.
