An x-ray diagnostics installation for subtraction angiography has an x-ray radiator which generates an x-ray beam that penetrates a patient, the resulting image being processed in an x-ray image intensifier video chain wherein the x-ray image is converted into a sequence of video signals for display. The video chain includes an image memory for storing the video signals and a difference-forming unit for subtracting the stored video signals from current video signals to form difference video signals. An image reproduction stage has various adjustment elements permitting variation of parameters identifying a region or a window of brightness values for reproducing the video signals on the display. By means of the adjustment elements, various image parameters, such as background brightness and darkening of the blood vessels, can be set independently of each other.

X-ray diagnostics installation for subtraction angiography

An apparatus for testing a vessel wall includes a rail and a carriage running on the rail. An inclining and swiveling telescoping arm has an end being pivotably connected to the carriage and a free end. The telescoping arm has curved members with U-shaped cross sections. A drive mechanism for extending and retracting the telescoping arm includes a pusher tube having tensile strength and resistance to compression for driving the members in common and a motor for driving the pusher tube. A test unit is carried by the free end of the telescoping arm and a data line is connected between the test unit and an evaluation unit.

Apparatus and method for testing a vessel wall

A television installation comprising a circuit arrangement for amplification alteration or variation of the video signal in dependence upon its current mean value as compared to a reference mean value. A television camera and monitor are provided, and the current video signal is intermediately stored in an image memory. A mean value is formed in a mean value circuit. This value is compared in relation to a reference value of a reference circuit. A factor is supplied in the form of an output signal of a division stage to a multiplication stage in which the factor is multiplied with the video signal contained in the image memory. The video signal is thereby standardized to a reference value.
