A filter device is disclosed. The filter device includes a coalesce and a final separator arranged one after another in a flow direction. The final separator includes final separator material and is arranged radially within the coalesce. The coalesce is configured hollow-cylindrical and includes a coalescer material and an external support structure with an upper coalescer ring and a lower coalescer ring that are connected with one another via axial coalescer ribs. A positioning element is provided on the final separator. A positioning opening is provided in a region of the at least one lower coalescer ring. The positioning opening is configured in a complementary manner to the positioning element and the final separator engages into the positioning opening in a mounted state with the positioning element and thereby aligns the final separator relative to the coalesce.

Filter device

A separator for a separator device, for example a final separator for a final separator device for separating water from a liquid such as oil and/or fuel, may include a filter body including at least one filter material through which the liquid can flow. The filter body may have a first side and a second side. A nanofibre layer may be disposed on the first side in at least one region. The nanofibre layer may be configured hydrophobic. According to an implementation, the nanofibre layer is treated to produce the hydrophobic property. The filter body may have a porosity on the first side that is smaller than on the second side.

Final separator

A fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine may include a water separator configured to separate a polar phase, for example water, out of fuel. The water separator may be arranged at least one of on and in a fuel supply system component. The water separator may be configured as an electric coalescer. The electric coalescer may have at least two electrodes that are insulated from the fuel.

Fuel supply system and fuel filter

A fuel filter device for an internal combustion engine may include a ring filter element separating a raw side from a clean side. A water separator configured as an electric coalescer may be arranged on the clean side for separating water from the fuel. The electric coalescer may include at least two electrodes arranged coaxially with respect to the filter axis, and at least one of the electrodes may be insulated from the fuel.
