A stacking apparatus and method for product layers, it loads each of the product layers in a box-like and stackable slip-on container, open at the bottom, and stores the product layer with this container in a container stack, and/or removes product layers in slip-on containers from a container stack and unloads the individual product layer from the slip-on container. A handling apparatus having a multi-axially movable handling device for the slip-on containers, wherein the handling device is designed to handle the slip-on containers and wherein the product layers in the container stack are located on a container base of a lower slip-on container and are surrounded laterally and at the top by an upper slip-on container positioned above said lower slip-on container. A row arrangement of a plurality of stacking places, having a movable support which moves the handling device along a first, facing side of the row arrangement.

Stacking apparatus and stacking method

A row-forming device () together with processes form a bottle row () from a bottle layer (). The row-forming device () is configured to pick up and transport away, in rows, the respectively frontmost layer row () of the bottle layer () moved in a conveying direction (), in a transverse transport direction (). One or more layer conveyors () moves the bottle row () in a conveying direction () and adjoins the transport device (), which has a plurality of parallel conveyor belts () that extend in the transport direction () and are driven independently and also exhibit mutually different transport speeds. The transport device () has a guide strip () oriented obliquely to the transport direction (). The guide strip () extends over a part of the conveyor belts () and is arranged downstream of the layer conveyor () in the transport direction ().

Row-forming device, row-forming methods and bottle handling installation

A storage station, a process for storing, and a bottle tray () configured for receiving a bottle layer () are provided. The bottle tray has an upright side wall (), with an upper tray opening () and a tray bottom () connected to the side wall (). The bottle tray () has a movable lifting bottom () that lies in the loaded state () on the tray bottom () and which has a plurality of passage openings () for a lifting device () for a relative lift between the side wall () and the lifting bottom (). The tray bottom () has a perforated plate or a plurality of struts () located spaced apart and enclosing the passage openings (). The struts are fastened to the side wall (). The bottle tray () has a bottom centering () acting between the tray bottom () and the lifting bottom ().

Bottle tray and storage station

A relocation method for moving piece goods and an associated transport device are provided. The piece goods (), that are prone to falling over, in particular bottles, are moved between an in-flow region (E) and a holding area () for a layer () formed of adjacent rows () of the piece goods (). A transport device () has multiple relocation guides (-) which are moveable in a controlled manner, and which are configured to transport a row (-) or a set of rows of the piece goods between the inflow region (E) and the holding area, to assemble or disassemble a layer. A respective second-outermost row (K) or a second-outermost set of rows of the layer are secured against falling over by means of a relocation guide (). An outermost row (K) or an outermost set of rows is added to the layer or removed from the layer.

A method and device for stacking layers of goods () is based on a stacking device () that includes a handling mechanism () which handles, laterally moves, and stacks loose slip-on receptacles (). The loose slip-on receptacles () are open on the bottom, accommodate a layer of goods () in the interior () thereof, and carry the layer of goods () along as the receptacles () are slidingly conveyed. An upward-facing bottom () of the slip-on receptacles () forms the supporting surface () for the subsequent layer of goods ().
