A method for sharing documents includes initiating a sharing session with a first participant and a second participant, wherein the first participant is communicatively connected to the second participant via a server, receiving a control request having an action from the first participant, determining whether the control request includes a share page action, and retrieving components of the page with available component types and sending components associated with preferences of the first participant to the first participant and components associated with preferences of the second participant to the second participant responsive to determining that the control request includes the share page action.

Sharing of documents with semantic adaptation across mobile devices

Methods and systems are provided for automatic visual preview of non-visual data. A visual preview of non-visual data is generated by obtaining the non-visual data; obtaining metadata describing one or more semantic data types in the obtained non-visual data; selecting one or more visual metaphors for the obtained non-visual data based on the metadata; and generating the visual preview of the non-visual data using the one or more selected visual metaphors. As used herein, non-visual data does not have an established automatic method for generating a preview of the non-visual data. A user can optionally interact with the visual preview.

Automatic visual preview of non-visual data

A method and apparatus enhancing software catalog manageability, providing abstract software configuration, and desired state management. A first mechanism enhances software catalog manageability. The first mechanism includes a software model that separates metadata of software from actual binaries of the software. A second mechanism abstracts software configuration for automation. The second mechanism includes a hierarchical software resource template structure that specifies parameters, dependencies between parameters, features, options, and parameters that cannot be predefined. A third mechanism provides for desired state management and patch compliance assessments. The third mechanism checks against a server template or software resource in a data center model against what is installed on actual machines to determine compliance.

Method and apparatus for managing software catalog and providing configuration for installation

The aspects of the present invention provide for a computer implemented method, apparatus, and computer usable program code for adding a new virtual object into a virtual scene having at least one existing virtual object. An exemplary computer-implemented method includes calculating the dimensions for each cell in a matrix that defines the virtual scene. The dimensions used to fit a largest retained virtual object are propagated along all dimensions of the matrix, wherein the largest retained virtual object is a virtual object selected from the group consisting of the new virtual object and an object from at least one of the existing virtual objects, thereby adjusting the dimensions of the matrix to form a modified matrix. All the existing virtual objects, including the new one, are properly positioned within the modified matrix.
