In the case of a mixer for constructional materials or the like, comprising a driven drum which is rotatably mounted on a yoke pivoting on a frame and is able to be driven by means of a frame-mounted drive device including an air-cooled electric motor which is arranged in an encapsulating means, provided with a switch and plug unit and having an air intake opening and an air outlet opening and which is adapted via a countershaft to drive a drive shaft which is associated with the drum and whose axis of rotation is in alignment with the pivot axis of the yoke, wherein the encapsulating means is constituted by a housing means accommodating the motor and the countershaft transmission, and having an air intake opening in communication with a flow reversing intake duct and whose outlet opening leads into a spent air duct which ends outside the housing means and is designed to prevent access therethrough, simple and low-cost means are utilized to ensure that the mixer has a comparatively high degree of safety and ease of use while nevertheless rendering rational manufacture possible, since in accordance with the invention the encapsulating means is constituted by a housing means accommodating the motor and the countershaft transmission, and having an air intake opening in communication with a flow reversing intake duct and whose outlet opening leads into a spent air duct which ends outside the housing means and is designed to prevent access therethrough.

Mixer motor with splashproof housing

A mixer having a drum and a motor drivingly connected to the drum. The drum is mounted on a pivotting arm in a cantilever fashion. The pivotting arm has a bushing coaxial with an axis of the drum. The pivotting arm has a cable channel formed therein so as to enable an electrical connection to the motor. The motor has a drive shaft in driving connection with a transmission connected to the drum. The motor has a stator secured to a flange affixed to the bushing. The shaft has an eccentric engaging the step-down transmission so as to cause the drum to rotate relative to a speed of the motor. The electrical connection extends through a hole in the bushing. The electrical connection extends to a switchplug of a pivot axis of the pivotting arm.

In the case of a composter comprising a drum supported for rotation about a level longitudinal axis thereof, means for driving said drum about said axis, said drum including a peripheral casing which is at least partly in the form of perforated sheet metal panels, a longitudinal conveying device fitted under said drum and able to be driven selectively in opposite directions for selective conveying of compost falling from said drum to a compost deposit and a lifting conveying device arranged at one end of said drum, a charging device arranged in an upper part of the drum for cooperation with the lifting conveyor, the aim of the invention is to ensure the most even distribution of the coarse material along the length of the drum while nevertheless keeping to a simple design of the composter and ease of operation. For this purpose the said drum driving means is adapted to turn said drum in either direction about said axis, and at least one internal door is hinged on said casing for closing and opening a door opening in said casing, said door being arranged to pivot about a hinge axis parallel to the drum axis.

In the context of a device for mechanically receiving empties in the form of bottle crates and other containers for bottles subject to a deposit, comprising a frame, at least one conveying device forming the lower limit of a conveying passage and which is adapted to move the empties past a sensing device improved functional reliability is achieved by an arrangement in which the sensing device comprises a sensing head extending over the conveying device, said sensing head being able to be raised and lowered by means of an actuator operated by the passage of an article moved by the conveying device and cooperating with a measuring device responding to its stroke, said sensing device comprising sensing elements arranged in the form of a row arranged to extend perpendicularly to the direction of conveying and arranged in relation to a fixed plane of an aligning device aligning the passing articles so as to be parallel to the conveying direction, said sensing elements being arranged to be actuated by articles under them and cooperating with a counting device.
