A fan blade platform seal includes a platform portion including a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The platform portion further includes a flow path surface extending between the first side and the second side and a bonding surface opposite the flow path surface. The fan blade platform seal further includes a first seal portion including a first bonding segment including a first outer surface, mounted to the platform portion on the first side of the platform portion, and a first inner surface opposite the first outer surface. The fan blade platform seal further includes a stiffening portion mounted to the first inner surface. The stiffening portion includes a first bonding layer bonded to the first inner surface and a stiffening layer bonded to the first bonding layer on a first layer side of the stiffening layer.

A turbine fan fairing platform is disclosed. The turbine fan fairing platform includes a platform body including a first side portion arranged to abut a first fan blade, a second side portion arranged to abut a second fan blade, and a central portion extending between the first side portion and the second side portion. A seal member is disposed over the platform body. The seal member includes a first side portion over the platform body first side portion, a central portion over the platform body the central portion, and a second side portion over the platform body second side portion. An erosion protection layer is disposed over the seal member over the central portion of the platform body.

A platform for a gas turbine engine according to an example of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a platform body that has a gas path surface extending axially between a leading edge and a trailing edge and extending circumferentially between opposed mate faces. A plurality of platform flanges extend from the platform body to define one or more slots. The one or more slots are dimensioned to receive a respective flange of a rotatable hub, and each platform flange has a retention member dimensioned to receive a retention pin to mount the platform body. The platform body includes a composite wrap extending about a perimeter of the platform body to define an internal cavity. At least one honeycomb core has a plurality of cells that is disposed in the internal cavity.

A platform assembly for a fan of a gas turbine engine includes a lug, and a platform. The lug has a head, a base, and a leg that extends between the head and the base. The platform is at least partially disposed about the head. The platform has an outer surface and an inner surface. The head is arranged to engage the inner surface.

Blade assemblies for gas turbine engines are described. The blade assemblies include a fan blade having a first tab extending from a leading edge and a second tab extending from a trailing edge. The platforms include a flow structure having a gaspath surface and a non-gaspath surface with a front end, a rear end, a first edge, and a second edge. A platform connector extends from the flow structure. A first layer forms a part of the gaspath surface and is a non-continuous layer terminating at the ends and the edges. A second layer forms a part of the platform connector and is a non-continuous layer terminating at the ends and the edges. The second layer contacts the first layer proximate the first and second edges. A third layer defines an internal void and is a continuous layer arranged between the first layer and the second layer and defines a part of the flow structure and a part of the platform connector.
