A method for drying a fibrous web, particularly a paper, cardboard or tissue web whereby the moving fibrous web is treated with got air in the area of a pre-definable drying zone the fibrous web is treated, at least in some areas inside the drying zone with steam.

Method and apparatus for drying a fibrous web

Apparatus for treating a fibrous web that includes at least one supporting surface arranged to support a surface of the fibrous web, and at least one sealing device positionable adjacent a surface of the web opposite the surface of the web supported by the at least one supporting surface. The at least one sealing device includes a positionably adjustable sealing element. A distance between the positionably adjustable sealing element and the surface of the web opposite the surface supported by the at least one supporting surface is adjustable.

Apparatus for treating a fibrous web

Process and apparatus for drilling holes in a shell of a paper machine cylinder, which is in its operating position. Process and apparatus for drilling holes in the shell of a cylinder

Apparatus for treating a fibrous web that includes at least one supporting surface arranged to support a surface of the fibrous web, and at least one sealing device positionable adjacent a surface of the web opposite the surface of the web supported by the at least one supporting surface. The at least one sealing device includes a sealing element and a holder structured and arranged to hold and to enable lateral sliding movement of the at least one sealing device cross-wise to a web travel direction.

A machine for producing a material web is provided having at least one smooth roll at least partially wrapped by the material web. The machine includes an air blowing device arranged for ventilating the material web with at least one discharge stream, wherein the at least one discharge stream is directed into a wedge-shaped opening formed between the at least one at least one roll and the material web leaving the roll.

Device and process for removing a fibrous material web from a drying section of a machine for producing and/or refining the fibrous material web and into a catch device. The drying section includes heated drying cylinders, guidance rolls, and at least one drying wire arranged such that the fibrous material web is guided through the drying section over the heated drying cylinders and the guidance rolls at least predominately by the at least one drying wire. The device includes at least one controllable separating device arranged to at least reduce an adhesion force between the fibrous material web and the at least one drying wire.

Removal device

In a drying section of a machine for producing a material web such as, in particular, a paper or cardboard web, a pick-up suction roll, in particular a larger pick-up suction roll, is provided between the last pressing nip of a pressing section and a subsequent impingement drying unit, which suction roll removes the material web from a pressing felt guided through the pressing nip or from a transfer belt and transfers it to the impingement drying unit.

The drying section includes at least one web guidance device and at least one wire arranged to guide the material web through the at least one web guidance device. The at least one web guidance device is structured and arranged to direct pressurized gas at the material web so that, in a web travel direction, the material web is alternately lifted from the at least one wire and resting against the at least one wire.

Drying section

Process and apparatus for operating an apparatus to drill holes in the shell of a paper machine cylinder. The apparatus includes a stationary framework supportable on the paper machine, a feed frame that is radially movable along the stationary framework relative to the shell, and a drive unit. A plurality of drilling modules are coupled to the feed frame, which are rotatable via the drive unit, and the drilling modules include a drive shaft, at least two spindle heads, and at least two intermediate shafts arranged between the drive shaft and the at least two spindle heads, in which at least one of the at least two spindle heads in each drilling module is rotatable about a respective intermediate shaft of the drilling modules. The process includes rotating at least one of the at least two spindle heads about a respective intermediate shaft of the drilling module arranged between a drive shaft and the at least one spindle head, such that a mutual distance between spindle shaft centers of the at least two spindle heads in the drilling modules is adjusted.

Device for treating a fibrous pulp web that includes at least one support face, which is one of moving and stationary. The fibrous pulp web may be guided over the at least one support face. The device also includes at least one sealing device positioned on a side of the fibrous pulp web facing away from the at least one support face to strip at least a majority of a bordering air layer that entrained by the fibrous pulp web. The at least one sealing device may include a sealing disc that is one of substantially straight and at least partially curved, and that is at least one of elastically formed and resiliently mounted.

Device for treating a fibrous pulp web as well as a sealing device for a device of this kind

A web drying apparatus, e.g., for a paper web, includes several heatable drying cylinders arranged in at least one row with at least one respective endless loop drying wire and preferably arranged in two rows of cylinders with two respective wires. A wire guide roll is between and offset from two of the adjacent cylinders in the one row. The one endless loop dryer wire carries the web thereon on a first part of the web loop path from the first cylinder to the wire guide roll. There the web separates from the wire and travels to a second cylinder in the second row. The wire wraps around the wire guide roll and returns on a second part of the web loop path to the next cylinder in the first row, without supporting a web. On the path between the first and third cylinders and around the wire guide roll, the wire defines a loop. An air guide box and a blower are arranged within the loop. The air guide box produces a vacuum at the first part of the wire loop path for drawing the web against the wire. An air channel extends between the air guide box and the blower. At least one drive nozzle outlets into the air channel. The air channel draws air out of the first part of the loop path to create the vacuum there. The blower directs a stream of air through the wire, at the second part of the wire loop path, and then to a pocket outside the second loop part. The drive nozzle and the blower are supplied by independently controlled flows of blown air.

Method and device for drying a fiber web

A suction box for use in a press arrangement in a machine for producing a paper or cardboard web. The suction box includes at least one suction side suctioning the fibrous pulp sheet onto a transport side of at least one felt belt. The suction box further includes at least one non-suction side and at least one slit. A vacuum is created by having air blown out of at least one slit. The vacuum occurs along the felt belt in a run direction of the felt belt. The slit is positioned at an edge of at least one non-suction side of the suction box. The suction box may be disposed on an exit side of a press slit of the press arrangement. The press slit is adapted to treat the fibrous pulp sheet. At least one felt belt is guided, simultaneously with the fibrous pulp sheet, through the press slit. Upon exiting the press slit, the fibrous pulp sheet is suctioned onto at least one felt belt by the suction box.

Suction box

A machine for manufacturing a continuous material web, in particular a paper or cardboard web, with at least one perforated cylinder sleeve and a suction roll exhibiting a manhole around which the material web is guided preferably with the aid of a transport band, whereby the interior of the suction roll can be put under a vacuum and is subdivided into at least two sections by a partition wall that is arranged essentially perpendicular to the rotation axis of the suction roll, wherein the partition wall is subdivided into sections and/or is manufactured of a flexible material and can thereby be inserted through the manhole and into the roll interior.

Machine for manufacturing a continuous material web

A machine for the production of a continuous web, particularly of paper or cardboard, may include a plurality of rolls around which a continuous web may be guided. The machine may also include a blocking device, arranged in a vicinity of an edge of the continuous web, to prevent turbulences and arranged at a predetermined distance from a free stretch formed by the continuous web traveling between two adjacent rolls. The blocking device may extend along a longitudinal portion of the free stretch, i.e, in a transport direction of the continuous web, and/or may extend across a portion of the free stretch transverse to the transport direction of the continuous web.

Device for drying a web in a two-screen dryer section. The device may include a plurality of heatable dryer cylinders arranged in vertically spaced upper and lower cylinder rows, an upper endless screen associated with the upper cylinder row and a bottom endless screen associated with the bottom cylinder row, and a screen guide roll associated with one of the upper and lower endless screens. A shaft may be formed between adjacent cylinders in a cylinder row and bounded by one of the upper and lower endless screens guided around the adjacent cylinders and the screen guide roll. An air box and a blowing device may be positioned within the shaft, and the blowing device may be arranged in a region of separation between the screen and the screen guide roll to direct an air flow through the screen. The device may also include a longitudinal sealing strip coupled to a surface of the screen guide roll in a vicinity of the region of separation.
