An electrified vehicle includes a front subframe, a rear subframe, and a body that connects the front subframe to the rear subframe so that forces acting on the front subframe and the rear subframe are transmitted through the body. The vehicle also includes a housing coupled to an underside of the body between the front subframe and the rear subframe. An energy storage system is enclosed in the housing and includes a battery and a battery interface configured to electrically couple the battery to at least one component of the electrified vehicle.

A support structure for a ladder assembly of a fire apparatus includes a torque box, a pedestal, and a support plate. The torque box includes a top surface defining an aperture. The pedestal has (i) a lower end received by the aperture of the torque box and (ii) an upper end configured to couple to the ladder assembly. The support plate is positioned along the top surface of the torque box. The support plate includes a first leg and a second leg. The first leg extends from a first side of the support plate and is configured to engage with a first rail of the fire apparatus. The second leg extends from an opposing second side of the support plate and is configured to engage with a second frame rail of the fire apparatus.

Support structure for a ladder assembly of a fire apparatus

A fire apparatus includes a chassis, a front axle coupled to the chassis, a rear axle coupled to the chassis, a torque box coupled to the chassis, a pedestal coupled to the torque box, a ladder assembly coupled to the pedestal, and a stability assembly. The torque box has a front end and a rear end. The pedestal is positioned between the front end and the rear end of the torque box. The stability assembly includes a housing coupled to the chassis and the front end of the torque box, a pair of outriggers received within the housing, and a downrigger coupled to the rear end of the torque box. The pair of outriggers is selectively extendable laterally outward in opposing directions. The downrigger is selectively extendable downward.

Fire apparatus

An electrified vehicle, comprising a chassis having a frame, a first tractive element, and a first suspension system coupled with the first tractive element and the chassis. The first suspension system may comprise a first knuckle coupled with the first tractive element, and a first strut-damper coupled with the first knuckle and the chassis, the first strut-damper extending between the chassis and the first knuckle. The first suspension system may also include a first control arm coupled with the first knuckle and the frame member, and a torsion bar coupled with the chassis at a first end of the torsion bar. The torsion bar may extend in a direction substantially parallel with the frame member, where the torsion bar may be configured to support a portion of a mass of the electrified vehicle in response to displacement of the first tractive element relative to the chassis.

Systems and methods for vehicle suspension assemblies

A vehicle includes a chassis, a front axle coupled to the chassis, a rear axle coupled to the chassis, a powertrain coupled to the chassis, a cab coupled to the chassis, a rear module coupled to the chassis behind the cab. The powertrain is configured to drive at least one of the front axle or the rear axle. The rear module is selectively reconfigurable between a plurality of configurations.

Off-road vehicle

A vehicle includes a chassis, a suspension system coupled to the chassis, a front axle, a first rear axle, and a second rear axle coupled to the chassis by the suspension system, and a powertrain coupled to the chassis and at least one of the front axle, the first rear axle, and the second rear axle. The powertrain is configured to drive the at least one of the front axle, the first rear axle, and the second rear axle. The chassis, the suspension system, the front axle, the first rear axle, and the second rear axle provide a payload capacity rating of at least 1,750 pounds. The vehicle has an overall width between 60 inches and 80 inches.

A quint configuration fire apparatus includes a chassis defining a longitudinal direction, a body assembly coupled to the chassis and having a storage area configured to receive a ground ladder and a fire hose, a pump coupled to the chassis, a water tank coupled to the chassis, a ladder assembly including a plurality of extensible ladder sections, the ladder assembly coupled to the chassis with a pedestal and a torque box, a single front axle coupled to a front end of the chassis, and a single rear axle coupled to a rear end of the chassis. The ladder assembly is extensible to provide a horizontal reach of at least 100 feet and a vertical height of at least 105 feet. The torque box extends along the longitudinal direction and spans the single rear axle thereby transferring loading along the chassis.
