A fenestration unit including screen coil apparatus is provided by the invention. The fenestration unit includes a frame defining an opening. A sash- is slideably received by the opening of the frame. The fenestration unit includes a screen coil assembly attached to the sash. The screen coil assembly includes a screen having first and second edges, and a roll core, wherein the screen is capable of being coiled and uncoiled on the roll core. The fenestration unit further includes an edge support having first and second support members having at least a portion located between the frame and the sash, the first and second support members for fastening to the screen first and second edges.

A rose locking mechanism developed with a hybrid lock architecture for a door designed to incorporate the functionality of a cylindrical lock architecture with the ease of installation of a tubular lock architecture is provided by the present invention. The hybrid lock architecture comprises a chassis assembly having an inside chassis assembly and an outside chassis assembly that are telescopically engaged to accommodate different door widths. A door latch assembly is operably connected to the chassis assembly for retroaction and extension of a bolt. A handle is mounted on a spindle on either side of the chassis assembly wherein rotational motion imparted on one of the handles is converted to linear motion within the chassis assembly in order to retract the bolt of the door latch assembly. The inside chassis assembly includes a rose locking mechanism positioned radially outward of said inside spindle.

Rose locking mechanism

A convertible door latch assembly convertible between a non-locking configuration and a locking configuration. The convertible door latch assembly including a bolt housing, a bolt slidably engaging the bolt housing and having a first slot and a second slot, a drawbar slidably engaging the first slot and the bolt housing, a dead latch stop being engagable in the first slot to hold the drawbar in the first slot when the convertible door latch assembly is in the locking configuration, a plunger being slidably engagable in the second slot and being movable between an extended position and a retracted position when the convertible door latch assembly is in the locking configuration, and a pull slidably positionable within the first slot and moveable relative to the bolt when the convertible door latch is in the non-locking configuration.

Convertible door lock latch mechanism

A sensor for an interconnected lock assembly which can sense whether the door is in an opened or closed state. The interconnected lock assembly comprises a first lock assembly operably connected to a deadlatch assembly. A second lock assembly operably interconnected with the first lock assembly by a rack mounted on a carrier component. The second lock assembly is operably connected to a deadbolt latch assembly. The deadbolt latch assembly comprises a deadbolt movable between an extended position when the carrier component is in a lowered position and a retracted position when the carrier component is in a raised position. The lock assembly further includes a sensor component positioned within said deadlatch assembly in a predetermined manner to detect when said door is an open or closed position. The information is relayed to an electronic control module.

Interconnected lock with door status sensor

An interconnected lock assembly with a locking mechanism which can throw the deadbolt and lock the door in response to a remote control signal. The interconnected lock comprising a first lock assembly including an inside handle and an outside handle, and a second lock assembly interconnected to said first lock assembly. The second lock assembly comprises a deadbolt assembly operably connected to a deadbolt latch. The deadbolt latch comprises a deadbolt movable between an extended position and a retracted position. The interconnected lock further comprises a locking mechanism selectively engageable by a remote control signal to move the deadbolt to an extended position.

A sensor for an interconnected lock assembly which can sense whether the door is in a locked or unlocked state. The interconnected lock assembly comprises a first lock assembly and a second lock assembly, both operably interconnected by a rack mounted on a carrier component. The second lock assembly is operably connected to a deadbolt latch assembly which comprises a deadbolt movable between an extended position when the carrier component is in a lowered position and a retracted position when the carrier component is in a raised position. The sensor is positioned within the interconnected lock assembly to detect when the carrier component is in a lowered position or in a raised position. The information is relayed to an electronic control module.

Interconnected lock with lock status sensor

An interconnected lock assembly which can remotely engage a mechanism to couple operation of an inside handle to operation of an outside handle to enable the door to be unlocked from the outside of the door without requiring a key. The interconnected lock assembly is mounted in a door and comprises a first lock assembly including an inside handle and an outside handle, and a second lock assembly interconnected to the first lock assembly. The second lock assembly comprises a deadbolt assembly operably connected to a deadbolt latch having a deadbolt movable between an extended position and a retracted position. Rotation of the inside handle operates to move the deadbolt into a retracted position. The interconnected lock assembly further comprises a remote unlocking mechanism selectively engageable to automatically couple the outside handle to the inside handle such that rotation of the outside handle moves the deadbolt into a retracted position thus unlocking the door.

A push button door locking mechanism including a push button mounted on a push button carrier housed within an inside spindle of a door lock assembly, a main retractor co-rotatingly attached to the spindle, and an inner cam aligned axially with the push button carrier. The inner cam has a flange portion extending substantially perpendicularly from a driver bar portion of the inner cam. The locking mechanism also includes a locking catch assembly having a first end and a second end. The first end includes a head portion formed to matingly engage the push button carrier. The second end is coupled to a locking wing. The locking catch assembly has a locked position wherein the locking wing matingly engages the flange preventing rotation of the flange with respect to the main retractor and an unlocked position allowing rotation of the flange with respect to the main retractor.

Push button door locking mechanism

A slide compartment for a hybrid lock architecture. The slide component comprises a U-shaped body portion and a plurality of independent retractors. At least one pair of slots are positioned near an open end of said U-shaped body for attachment of a drawbar of a door latch assembly of the hybrid lock assembly. The hybrid lock assembly comprises a chassis assembly mounted in a bore of said door. A door latch assembly is operably connected to the slide component housed in the chassis assembly for retraction and extension of a bolt. A handle is mounted on a spindle on each side of the chassis assembly. Rotational motion of either handle is converted to linear motion within the chassis assembly at the slide interface in order to retract the bolt of the door latch assembly.
