A mine detonating apparatus to be mounted to an armoured personnel carrier () is disclosed. A front roller assembly () is mounted at the front of a vehicle body () of the armoured personnel carrier () to apply pressure to the ground forwardly of each track () of the armoured personnel carrier (). A rear roller assembly () is mounted rearwardly of the vehicle body () to apply pressure to the ground behind the vehicle, the front and rear rollers () being pre-loaded. The rear roller assembly () is connected to the vehicle body by means of hydraulic cylinders () and a support frame () supporting the front roller assemblies () is connected to the vehicle body () by of a pair of hydraulic cylinders (). The hydraulic cylinders () are arranged to maintain the position of the front roller assemblies forwardly of the respective tracks ().

A linkage for coupling a vehicle to a ground-engaging implement consists of two links, the first link being connected at one end to the vehicle such that it can pivot both around the longitudinal axis of the link and around a line transverse to that axis and connected at its second end to the implement to pivot around a line transverse to its longitudinal axis; the second link being connected in a similar fashion but oppositely to the first link.
