A refrigerator appliance includes a refrigerator compartment with a bottom-hinged door that is operable to open and close the refrigerator compartment. In one example, the door is hingedly coupled to a bottom of the cabinet and configured to pivot between a closed state to restrict access, or an open state to permit access, to the freezer compartment. The refrigerator compartment includes a liner comprising opposing side walls. A swing-up storage assembly is pivotally and telescopically connected to the side walls and is configured to move between a lower retracted position and an upper extended position. The swing-up storage assembly includes a receptacle support body and a storage receptacle that is removably mounted to the receptacle support body.

Swing-up storage assembly

A refrigeration appliance includes an appliance housing. A liner within the appliance housing provides an upper interior storage chamber and a lower interior storage chamber. The upper interior storage chamber and the lower interior storage chamber are separated by a mullion. An upper movable closure is movable between an open position providing access to the lower interior storage chamber, and a closed position closing the upper interior storage chamber. A lower movable closure is movable between an open position providing access to the lower interior storage chamber, and a closed position closing the lower interior storage chamber. The mullion forms a storage pocket, and the refrigeration appliance further includes a deployable shelf configured to be withdrawn from the storage pocket in the mullion.

Refrigerator work surface

A shelf assembly includes a shelf frame adapted to support a planar shelf panel. The shelf frame comprises a front member, opposed side members, and a rear member. A support channel is integrally formed into an underside of the shelf frame. A reinforcing support frame is captured within the support channel to form a unitary shelf assembly and is adapted to support the shelf frame within said appliance. At least one stud projects outward from the reinforcing support frame with respect to the opposed side members of the shelf frame. The studs are adapted to be received within a corresponding recess of an interior wall of said appliance to thereby support the shelf assembly within said appliance.

Shelf assembly

A hinge assembly for mounting a door on a cabinet below an opening thereof is provided. The hinge assembly may include a pin defining an axis about which the door rotates, the pin being supported by a hinge plate and including a splined portion. Moreover, the hinge assembly may include a height adjuster including an inner circumference through which the pin extends and at least a portion that is rotatable about the pin. The hinge assembly additionally may include a first cam element including a cam surface and an inner circumference through which the pin extends, the inner circumference corresponding to the splined portion of the pin for mating therewith at a single position, the first cam element being vertically adjustable along the splined portion of the pin through rotation of the rotatable portion of the height adjuster about the pin.

Hinge assembly for mounting door on cabinet below opening thereof

A shelf assembly is provided for a refrigerator with a food compartment that includes a rear wall and a pair of opposed side walls. The shelf assembly includes a first and second shelf portion with first and second support surfaces. The second shelf portion is slidably moveable relative to the first shelf portion between an extended position and a retracted position. In the extended position, the second shelf portion is arranged such that the second support surface is substantially coplanar with the first support surface and the second support surface is located generally between a first support surface and a side wall of the food compartment. In the retracted position, the second planar support surface is arranged subjacent to the first planar support surface.
