A method of evaporation comprises cooling a prime mover using a coolant. The cooling comprising pumping the coolant from the prime mover through a heat exchanger and back to the prime mover in a cooling circuit. A process fluid is circulated in an evaporator loop comprising the heat exchanger and a flash tank, the process fluid being circulated from the flash tank, through the heat exchanger and to a flash nozzle positioned in the flash tank. A pressure of the process fluid is reduced across the flash nozzle from a first pressure upstream of the flash nozzle to a second pressure in the flash tank, wherein heat from the coolant provides sufficient thermal energy to the process fluid in the heat exchanger so that a percentage of the process fluid changes phase from liquid to steam when the pressure of the process fluid is reduced across the flash nozzle. Steam is ejected from the flash tank to separate the steam from the process fluid.

Method and system utilizing waste heat for evaporation

A refrigerant bunker comprises a refrigerant covering comprising a first thermally insulating material configured to enclose a solid refrigerant and an outer container comprising a container body and a container cover. The container body comprising an outer surface, an inner surface defining a partially enclosed space configured to accept the solid refrigerant and an opening for accessing the partially enclosed space. The container cover is configured for covering the container opening. The container body comprises a second thermally insulating material. A plurality of spacers protrude from the inner surface of the outer container in the partially enclosed space. The plurality of spacers are positioned to have gas fillable gaps between the spacers. Coolers employing the refrigerant bunker are also disclosed.

An article of manufacture for use as an insulated overhead door that is designed to roll open and closed in tracks, with a sheet of thermoplasitc material that acts as the outer door membrane and barrier to entry, a sheet of insulating material that acts as a base insulating barrier adhered to the thermoplastic membrane.

Insulated overhead door

A system for maintaining thermal separation between first and second adjacent rooms or spaces. The system includes a vestibule with at least a first compartment, and other embodiments may include two or more compartments, such that the vestibule provides a passageway between the first and second rooms. At least one blower draws air from the first room through an air intake, and back into the first room through an exhaust. The system further includes an exhaust port from the first compartment in fluid communication with the exhaust, to exhaust air from the first compartment into the first room. During operation, a vacuum is formed within the first compartment that provides thermal separation between the first and second adjacent rooms.

Apparatus for reducing air flow through an opening between adjacent rooms

A system is described herein for evacuating gas as it is leaking from a patient's airway. The system comprises a gas evacuation flowpath configured for collecting a gas flow escaping from the patient when inserted into the patient's airway. A vacuum source is connected to the gas evacuation flowpath. Devices that may be employed as part of the system and a method for evacuating gas from a patient are also described.

A trailer overhead door system for a truck or trailer having a door opening. The trailer overhead door system having a trailer door for enclosing the door opening and a counterbalance system for counterbalancing the trailer door. The counterbalance system including a lifting cable and a return pulley for guiding the lifting cable. The lifting cable attaching between a door top rail, around the return pulley, and back to the counterbalance system.

A system for allowing a loading dock door to release from a track upon being struck by a fork lift or other sufficiently strong force. The system employs a unique track profile with one or more sidewalls that have an angled sidewall profile to allow a release assembly to move out of the track. The release assembly includes a biasing mechanism that allows the assembly to flex and ride out of the track when the door is impacted.

Breakaway loading dock door system

A pneumatic door system and a method of using the same are disclosed herein. According to one embodiment, a trailer may include a seamless main door and at least one side door. The doors may be configured to be locked shut with a system of pneumatic locks. The main door may be configured to open and close as controlled by pneumatic pressure applied to a door cylinder. The pneumatic system may be configured to be controlled by an interior control box. The pneumatic system may be configured to operate off of pneumatic pressure in an auxiliary air tank, the pressure being protected by a series of one-way check valves. The pneumatic system may also be configured to operate wirelessly using RFID or Bluetooth technology, among other things, to secure the cargo and facilitate ingress and egress to the trailer.

A method for interpreting a color in a photographic digital image is disclosed. The method includes receiving a photographic digital image comprising a color portion proximate to a color scale. Different spatial positions on the color scale correspond to different known outcome values. The position of the color portion in the digital image is located and a digital color value for the color portion is determined. Digital scale color values at different positions on the color scale are determined. The digital color value is compared to one or more digital scale color values to determine a digital reference color value that approximates the digital color value of the color portion. A position of the digital reference color value on the color scale is determined. An outcome value is then determined based on the position of the digital reference color value.

Method and system for determining the color of an object in a photo

A system for allowing a loading dock door to release from guide tracks. The dock door includes wheel-and-axle assemblies which are mounted to the door and which include wheels biased towards a position in the tracks. At least one of the tracks has a cross sectional profile which enables the wheels disposed in the one of the tracks to move out of the one of the tracks when the door is struck with sufficient force.
