A positioning method that calculates a lower accuracy positioning solution and applies an offset to the lower accuracy positioning solution to form a final positioning solution if a higher accuracy positioning solution is unavailable. The offset represents a difference between the lower accuracy positioning solution and the higher accuracy positioning solution at a point in time when the higher accuracy positioning solution was last available.

Positioning system and method

Systems and methods for guiding a vehicle and vehicle sensor bias determination methods are disclosed. A method for guiding a vehicle includes a primary antenna of a primary survey-grade GNSS-receiver and a secondary antenna of a secondary GNSS-receiver mounted to the vehicle, which are at least temporarily receiving GNSS-signals of a global positioning system. A plurality of physical sensors mounted to the vehicle generate physical data indicative of respective measured physical parameters of at least part of the vehicle. The method includes de-biasing the physical data and applying a recursive statistical estimator, such as a Kalman filter, to the de-biased physical data and an output of the primary and secondary GNSS-receivers to determine a position and velocity of the vehicle.

Vehicle guidance and sensor bias determination

A protective device for use with a tow-bar having a towing hitch coupling. The protective device includes a substantially T-shaped member. The leg of the T is adapted to be coupled to the towing hitch coupling and the head of the T extends rearwardly of the towing vehicle past any rearwardly projecting components of the vehicle.

An a.c. induction motor for use with a pump of a pool filtration system, the motor comprising a rotor and a stator, the stator (45) having at least two windings including a primary stator winding (46) and a secondary winding (50) magnetically coupled to the primary stator winding, whereby when the motor operates, a stepped down a.c. voltage is induced into the secondary winding. A pool filtration and chlorination system comprising an electrolytic chlorinating cell (10) arranged to be positioned within a filter line of a pool or spa, the filter line including a pump (11) driven by an a.c. induction motor, the secondary winding being electrically connected to the electrolytic cell, whereby operation of the motor causes a stepped down voltage to be induced in the secondary winding which powers the electrolytic cell.
