An apparatus in one embodiment comprises at least one processing device having a processor coupled to a memory configured to implement a plurality of virtual computing resources including a first subset providing a management network, a second subset providing partner zones, and a third subset providing customer service enclaves. The management network is configured to provision and control communication between partner zones and customer service enclaves. A given partner zone associated with a given partner is configured to provision partner-controlled services of the given partner to customer environments via the customer service enclaves. A given customer service enclave associated with a given customer is configured to activate the given partner for a given customer environment associated with the given customer to enable provisioning of the partner-controlled services of the given partner from the given partner zone to the given customer environment.

Partner enablement services for managed service automation

An apparatus in one embodiment comprises a processing platform that includes a plurality of processing devices each comprising a processor coupled to a memory. The processing platform is configured to implement at least a component control layer of a multi-layer application management architecture for a plurality of applications comprising controlled components. The applications are managed at least in part utilizing interactions between the component control layer and an overlying orchestration layer of the multi-layer application management architecture. The component control layer comprises at least one component controller configured to interface with one or more of the controlled components. The component controller is implemented as an application management microservice presenting a standardized application programming interface to the orchestration layer. Different instances of the component controller are illustratively utilized by respective ones of at least first and second different configuration management systems associated with the orchestration layer.

Standardized microservices for controlling components of distinct applications in multi-tenant clouds

An apparatus in one embodiment comprises a processing platform that includes a plurality of processing devices each comprising a processor coupled to a memory. The processing platform is configured to implement virtual resources of one or more clouds for use by applications of at least one application management domain. The processing platform further comprises an application manager configured in accordance with a multi-layer application management architecture. The application manager implements at least one of a startup procedure, a shutdown procedure, a reboot procedure and an isolation procedure for at least a portion of each of one or more of the applications. A given instance of at least one of the startup procedure, the shutdown procedure, the reboot procedure and the isolation procedure is applied to a particular designated set of controlled components. The given instance is configurable under user control so as to provide a customized version of the corresponding procedure.

Configurable startup, shutdown, reboot and isolation for applications in cloud-based information processing systems

An apparatus in one embodiment comprises a processing platform that includes a plurality of processing devices each comprising a processor coupled to a memory. The processing platform is configured to implement virtual resources of one or more clouds for use by applications of at least one application management domain. The processing platform further comprises an application manager configured in accordance with a multi-layer application management architecture including at least a component control layer, a system control and inner orchestration layer, an access and routing layer, an external system orchestration layer, and a presentation layer. The virtual resources and applications comprise respective controlled components under control of the component control layer. The applications are managed utilizing interactions between the layers of the multi-layer application management architecture, such as interactions between inner orchestration engines of the system control and inner orchestration layer and controllers of the component control layer.
