Poinsettia `PJ 3219` is a new cultivar, distinguished by smooth red bracts, large flowers, strong stems and self-branching characteristics. `PH 3219` is a sport of the red bracted `Supjibi` (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 6592) with the same flowering response and cultural requirements. The new plant produces a very desirable branched flowering pot plant. The new plant is resistant to epinasty after being confined to shipping containers and recovers rapidly if the plant does become epinastic. The post-production foliage and bract retention is good.

Poinsettia plant `PJ 3219`

Poinsettia `PJ 3112` is a new cultivar, distinguished by bright orange-red bracts and intense dark green foliage with self-branching characteristics. `PJ 3112` is a color sport of the dark red bracted `Lilo` (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 6,694) with the same early flowering response and cultural requirements. The new plant produces a very desirable branched flowering pot plant. The new plant is resistant to epinasty after being confined to shipping containers and recovers rapidly if the plant does become epinastic. The post-production foliage and bract retention is excellent even under low light intensities in the consumer's home.

Poinsettia plant `PJ 3112`

Poinsettia `490 White` is a new cultivar, distinguished by creamy white bracts and intense dark green foliage with self-branching characteristics. `490 White` is a color sport of the dark red bracted `490` (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 7,825) with the same early flowering response and cultural requirements. The new plant produces a very desirable branched flowering pot plant. The new plant is resistant to epinasty after being confined to shipping containers and recovers rapidly if the plant does become epinastic. The post-production foliage and bract retention is excellent even under low light intensities in the consumer's home.

Poinsettia plant '490 White'

The present invention describes a Poinsettia cultivar, designated `Pegirl`, that is vigorous and self-branching, having a medium height and large pink flower bracts. `Pegirl` originated as an induced mutation of `Angelika` (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 5,492). The bracts of `Pegirl` are lighter pink than `Dorothee` (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 7,310), the cultivar it most closely resembles. `Pegirl` retains the unique characteristics and growth habits of the Angelika family of poinsettia plants, including prolific multiple branching, full bracts and tight, full cyathia clusters.

This new Poinsettia cultivar, designated `Peterstar`, is vigorous and self-branching, having a medium height and bright red flower bracts. `Peterstar` originated as an induced mutation of `Angelika` (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 5,492). `Peterstar` is shorter and blooms earlier than `Angelika`, the cultivar it most closely resembles. The bracts are wider and smoother than those of `Angelika`.

A new Poinsettia cultivar distinguished by a more intensive bract color than other red varieties of the Annette Hegg family and a homogenious growth, in that all individual plants are equal in size and vigor. The branches of this cultivar are noticeably strong; otherwise this new plant has retained the important self branching, easy rooting, low temperature blooming and medium height characteristics of the Annette Hegg family of poinsettias.

A new poinsettia cultivar distinguished by the unique characteristic of a whiter bract as compared with the former white variety of the Annette Hegg line shown and described in U.S. Plant Pat. No. 3,082. Otherwise this new plant has retained the important self branching, easy rooting, low temperature blooming and medium height characteristic of the Hegg family of poinsettias.
