Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatuses, methods, and systems as relating to occlusion. In certain instances, the apparatuses, methods, and systems may include a device for placement in vessels, appendages, and openings in a body. The device may include a unitary frame having a face portion that includes a center frame portion a plurality of elongate members.

Devices and methods for occlusion of an atrial appendage

Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatuses, systems, and methods for placement in vessels, appendages, and openings in a body including a frame having a proximal end, a distal end, and a longitudinal axis. In certain instances, the frame includes a waist portion angled relative to the longitudinal axis and one or more anchors arranged along the waist portion.

Medical devices and anchors therefor

A device frame includes a plurality of elongate frame members, first and second hub members substantially aligned along a longitudinal axis of the device frame, and a coupling element that couples the first hub member to the second hub member. The device frame includes a face section, a laterally facing skirt section, and an inverted section. First portions of the elongate members define the face section and extend radially from the first hub member. Second portions of the elongate members define the laterally facing skirt section and extend in a distal, axial, and helical direction along a first rotational direction from the face section. Third portions of the elongate members define the inverted section and extend in a generally proximal direction from a distal portion of the laterally facing skirt section to the second hub member along a rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction.

Space filling devices

An implantable electrode provided with a thin, porous, wettable polymeric covering. The electrode covering of the present invention tightly conforms to the external profile of an electrode, which minimizes air gaps and voids. The electrode covering is relatively thin, preferably less than 0.13 mm thick, and is treated to enhance rapid wetting by bodily fluids. The combination of minimal air gaps, tight conformance to the electrode, wettability and porosity of the thin covering, allows repeated, high energy electrical discharges to be transmitted without significant bubble formation, sparking or degradation of the covering. In addition, the electrode covering of the present invention has pore sizes tailored to minimize cellular ingrowth and tissue attachment thereby allowing a less traumatic removal of the electrode after implantation if extraction becomes necessary, for example due to infection or electrode dislodgment.
