Displaying a graphical user interface on a second-screen device. The graphical user interface can include a partial video stream displayed in a video display area on a touchscreen of the second-screen device and a contextual panel in an active display area on the touchscreen. The contextual panel can include content associated with the partial video stream. The displayed partial video stream can be associated with a video stream displayed by a primary display with the two displayed video streams being associated with the same content and substantially synchronized.

A cup lock connection system for scaffold equipment advantageously has a locating arrangement for aligning ledgers, braces and other components on the cup lock at predetermined angular positions relative to the scaffold upright. The connecting ledgers, braces and other components preferably have a connecting head receivable on the cup lock connection in one of two orientations. In one orientation the aligning feature is active. In the second orientation the connection can be made without using the alignment functionality.

A vertical member of a modular scaffolding system includes a securing rosette provided in an upper section having a reduced diameter to provide a pre-determined modular connection. The vertical member includes an elongate intermediate section forming the majority of the vertical member of a first diameter greater than the reduced diameter. The intermediate section at a lower edge includes an integral spigot of the reduced diameter. A reinforcing sleeve is fixedly secured to the upper section above the rosette and forms a spigot receiving socket. The vertical member has higher capacity due to the larger diameter intermediate section while maintaining modularity of the scaffolding system.

An application on a second-screen device can receive an advertisement stream and an interactive component. The application can display at least a partial display of the advertisement stream and the interactive component in a video display area on the second-screen device. The displayed advertisement stream can be associated with an advertisement stream being displayed by a primary display with the two advertisement streams being associated with the same content and substantially synchronized.

A scaffold plank and toeboard system provides a fully integrated system where toeboards are easily securable to provide perimeter protection about different working platform configurations. The scaffold advantageously includes a series of securing ports that allow male connectors of the system toeboards, or male connectors of generic toeboard securing brackets to be appropriately placed for maintaining wooden, metal or other toeboard material that is basically fabricated onsite according to the material available. The scaffold securing plank also cooperates with other equipment, guard rails, plank support intermediary ledgers etc. to use the securing ports to simplify installation and securement thereof.

A modified scaffold support post includes areas of reduced diameter, intermediate the length of the support post, having connecting rosettes secured to these reduced diameter areas. Preferably the areas of reduced diameter correspond to diameter of support tubes used as uprights in scaffold frames in North America (approximately 1.69 inches in outer diameter). Preferably the areas of reduced diameter are formed by swaging a tube of a larger diameter, typically approximately 1.90 inches. The modified support post is advantageously used with scaffold frames with connecting rosettes appropriately positioned on the uprights of the scaffold frames.

A coupling spigot for connecting two scaffold legs one atop the other is designed to use a twist lock for securing the upper scaffold leg to the coupling spigot. A locking collar is fixed to a stop collar of the spigot. The locking collar includes receiving slots for receiving locking projections provided adjacent a bottom edge of the scaffold leg. Locking slots are connected to the receiving slots whereby an upper scaffold leg may be inserted on a coupling spigot of a lower scaffold leg and retained thereon by a twist lock.

A shoring post suitable for use with ledger frames uses node sleeves which surround the shoring post. Preferably, the node sleeves are an extruded component with a center cavity that closely conforms to the exterior of the shoring post. The node sleeves are secured in a manner to maintain the center of the shoring post unobstructed. In a preferred form, the node sleeves are mechanically fastened to the shoring post.

The scaffold clamp of the present invention comprises a body portion, two pivotting latches attached on opposite sides of said body, two recessed sockets with each socket having a slot opening therein, and two fasteners with each fastener associated with one of said slots and passing therethrough. Each fastener includes a shank which slides through said recess with the shank having a captured wedge member on one side of the associated slot and a bolt head oversized relative to the slot and on an opposite side thereof. The fastener is captured on the body portion with the bolt head on one side of said slot and said wedge on the opposite side of said slot. The body portion includes on opposite sides thereof support recesses which cooperate with the associated latch to form a generally circular scaffold support engaging recess. The latch and wedge cooperate with the body portion to adjust the size of said circular engaging recess by movement of the wedge relative to the body portion. The body portion of the scaffold clamp is preferrably made by casting or drop forging for strength and durability.
