A fitting apparatus for fitting a wire with an elastic wire element has a needle, which has a receptacle. An external diameter at a first end of the needle is smaller than at a second end. Centering jaws are configured to fix the needle and to form in a closed state an orifice, which serves as access to the receptacle of the needle. To push the elastic wire element on, a pusher-on is used. A gripping element holds the needle in an area of the first end. Drives enable relative movements.

Apparatus and method for fitting wires with seals or other elastic wire elements

The connector housings (1) to be fitted out are fed in succession along a feed track, and are then moved, by means of at least two grippers (19, 20), which are spaced apart in the advance direction and can be moved synchronously with one another, stepwise and individually in succession from a take-over position (FIG. 6b), along a connector housing guide and clamping track (12) into a fitting-out position (FIG. 6g, 6h), and are fitted out there with an electrical conductor, and are then moved by means of the respectively associated gripper along the guide and clamping track (12) into a release position (FIG. 6c). After release of the fitted-out connector housing (1) in the release position by the second gripper (19) and release of the connector housing (1) which is to be moved from the take-over position into the fitting-out position and is to be fitted out, by the other first associated gripper (20), the latter is moved back in a horizontal plane until it engages with a further connector housing (1), which is in the take-over position and is to be fitted out, and the second gripper (19) is moved back until it engages with the connector housing to be fitted out, which has been released beforehand by the first gripper (20), and these steps of the cycle are repeated in alternation.

An apparatus for the assembly of grommets on electrical cables for use in an automatic cable-processing machine, which is simple and cost effectively constructed so as to achieve a shorter assembly time, per grommet, and utilizes a step-wise rotatable turning device which includes several mandrels whereby, in a first setting (I), always one grommet is pushed onto a mandrel while in a second setting (II) of the turning device, the grommet is pushed, via a slip-on unit, onto a thicker portion of the mandrel for the purpose of expansion, with an assembly head including a grommet-receiving portion and an expanding portion by means of which, in a further setting (IV) of the turning device, the grommet is pulled from the mandrel, whereby the grommet is held in an expanded state, using the expanding portion and pushed onto the cable.

Apparatus for the assembly of grommets on electrical cables

An apparatus for fitting of grommets onto ends of electric cables. The shape of the grommet is independent of the manner in which it is fitted, by which it is pushed onto an electrical cable, and the characteristics of the electrical cable is not important for the exact positioning of the grommet. For this purpose, a conveying rail of a feed apparatus includes a buffer, in which the grommets are stored in correct position. In alignment with the axis of a vertical bore arranged below the first grommet in the buffer, a singling cylinder with a punch, which is movable up and down, is arranged above the conveying rail and a pivotable fitting cylinder with a grommet-receiving part positioned on a piston rod is arranged beneath the conveying rail, wherein the grommet is pushed by means of the punch through the vertical bore into the grommet-receiving part and the fitting cylinder is pivoted into a horizontal position. Pivotable gripper elements thereafter surround and hold the grommet-receiving part and are moved together with the piston rod against the cable, while the grommet is pushed onto the cable and its position thereon is assisted by an excess pressure that builds up in the grommet-receiving part.
