The description concerns a fastening element for a bolt provided with a thread, in particular a stud bolt, comprising a block which is made of plastic, provided with a threaded bore hole and can be screwed onto the bolt. The fastening element is characterized in that the threaded bore hole is open laterally by means of an axial slot in such a way that the block can also be fitted on the threaded bolt laterally.

A system for management of optical fibers. The system has a housing including a back side and a front side. There are a plurality of drawers mounted in the housing. The drawers have a front and a back and are mounted so as to be moveable between a first position and a second position. The drawers are in the first position, the housing substantially blocks access to the back of the drawers. When the drawers are in the second position, there is access to the back of the drawers. The system also includes an array of fiber optic connectors mounted on a respective one of each of the drawers and an array of fiber optic splicing cassettes mounted on a respective one of each of the drawers.
