Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media of activating a card having a contactless chip are provided. One method includes receiving, from a mobile device via a wireless transmission from the card having the contactless chip to the mobile device, a cryptogram, and decrypting the cryptogram to reveal information. The method further includes comparing the revealed information regarding at least one of the card or the user to information in a customer database, confirming the revealed information, and updating the customer database to indicate that the revealed information regarding the at least one of the card or the user is confirmed. The method further includes activating the card for an initial card transaction based on updating the customer database, and providing, to the mobile device, a payment card token associated with the card as part of a mobile wallet transaction using the mobile device involving the card.

Systems and methods for contactless smart card authentication

A method, apparatus, and system are disclosed. A method includes receiving, by a computing system, an application of a user for a product or service. The application can include user information associated with a user input via a user device. The method further includes: transmitting a message to a third party computing system based on a contactless communication between a contactless card and the user device; receiving, by the computing system from the third party computing system, an indication that at least a portion of the user information matches information stored by the third party computing system based on the message; and approving, by the computing system, the application for the product or service based at least in part on the indication.

Systems and methods for information verification using a contactless card

A method includes receiving, by a mobile device of a user, a payment amount for a transaction of the user. The method further includes receiving, by the mobile device, authentication data via a short range communication from a contactless card to the mobile device. The method further includes sending, by the mobile device, the authentication data and the payment amount from the mobile device to an account management system associated with the contactless card. The method further includes receiving, by the mobile device, an authorized form of payment for the payment amount from the account management system based on the user being authenticated using the authentication data. The method further includes providing, by the mobile device, the authorized form of payment to a merchant point of sale device.

A secured credit provider computing system is provided. The system includes a network interface configured to communicate data over a network and a processing circuit including one or more processors coupled to non-transitory memory. The processing circuit is configured to receive, from a user computing device, an application for secured credit; generate a passcode corresponding to the application and transmit the passcode to the user computing device; receive the passcode from an automated teller machine (ATM) of a second provider; responsive to identifying the application based on the passcode, transmit, to the ATM for display, a collateral request for the application; receive, from the ATM, a message acknowledging a collateral deposit; determine that the collateral deposit satisfies the collateral request for the identified application; and transmit, to the user computing device or to the ATM, a notification indicating that the application has been approved.

Systems and methods for collateral deposit identification

A method includes receiving a mobile device identifier associated with a mobile device, wherein the mobile device identifier is received based on a first near-field communication (NFC) tap between the mobile device and a third-party computing system; validating the mobile device as belonging to a customer based on the received mobile device identifier; binding the mobile device identifier to the customer based on the validation; generating a token for an account of the customer; and in response to generating the token, providing the token to the third-party computing system, wherein the token is automatically provisioned to the validated mobile device via a second NFC tap between the mobile device and the third-party computing system.

The method includes receiving, from the issuer computing system, a pre-approval message indicating that the customer is pre-approved to open a payment account. The method includes receiving account registration information for opening the payment account from the customer and transmitting the account registration information to the issuer computing system. In response to establishing the payment account for the customer, a payment token for the payment account is automatically provisioned to a mobile wallet associated with the customer.

A method of authenticating a smart card for a mobile pay function of a mobile device using a smart card is disclosed. The method includes: offering, by a mobile pay circuit of the mobile device, a mobile pay function; receiving, by the mobile pay circuit, an affirmative user input to enable the mobile pay function; wirelessly receiving, by a contactless logic of the mobile device, an authentication code from a smart card, wherein the authentication code includes identifying customer information; automatically populating, by the mobile pay circuit, one or more fields of a graphical user interface provided by the mobile pay circuit with the received identifying customer information; authenticating, by the mobile pay circuit, the smart card using the authentication code; and, enabling, by the mobile pay circuit, the mobile pay function with the smart card upon authenticating the smart card.

Systems and methods for smart card mobile device authentication

A method of payment using rewards is provided. The method includes detecting, by a mobile device of a customer, an authentication device based on a short range wireless communication between the mobile device and the authentication device; in response to detecting the authentication device, retrieving, by the mobile device, authentication data of the customer from the authentication device via the short range wireless communication; populating, by the mobile device, a graphical user interface displayed to the customer using the authentication data retrieved from the authentication device; receiving, by the mobile device, a selection from the customer to send the authentication data to an account management system; sending, by the mobile device, the authentication data to the account management system based on the received selection; and receiving, by the mobile device, a payment option for a transaction based on the customer being authenticated using the authentication data.

Methods and systems of exchanging data using payment cards with universal reference numbers are disclosed. A merchant computing system includes a merchant input/output assembly receiving a universal reference number from a customer at a point of sale. A merchant database retrievably stores a plurality of universal reference numbers and customer information associated with each of the plurality of universal reference numbers. A transaction circuit receives the universal reference number from the merchant input/output assembly, retrieves customer information associated with the universal reference number, and provides an output relating to a transaction based on the customer information.

Systems and methods for data exchange using payment cards with universal reference numbers

A method of authenticating a card for use with a mobile pay function of a mobile device is provided. The method includes: receiving a payment transaction from the mobile device; identifying the payment transaction from the mobile device as an authentication request by determining that the payment transaction includes a payment amount less than or equal to a predefined amount, wherein the authentication request includes a cryptogram; decrypting the cryptogram; verifying and approving the authentication request that was generated by the card and wirelessly transmitted to the mobile device from the card based on the decrypted cryptogram; transmitting an authentication decision to the mobile device based on the approval; and, enabling the mobile pay function for the card for the mobile device to complete mobile pay transactions utilizing the card.

Methods and systems of managing payment cards are disclosed. A financial institution computing system includes a token database storing a plurality of tokens and token information, a network interface circuit enabling the financial institution computing system to exchange information over a network; and a token management circuit. The token management circuit enables a graphical user interface on a customer device over the network that can be used to generate new token requests, re-provision token requests, and management requests. The management requests enable and disable tokens, such that transactions against a payment card account using an enabled token are completed, and transactions against the payment card account using a disabled token are denied.

Connected payment card systems and methods

A method includes receiving, by a provider computing system from an initiating device, an encrypted network return address of an user device that identifies a network address of the user device; receiving, by the provider computing system and from the user device, an encryption key configured to decrypt the encrypted network return address; decrypting, by the provider computing system, the encrypted network return address using the encryption key; and providing, by the provider computing system, a code to the user device based on the decrypted network return address by transmitting the code to the user device without going through the initiating device.
