A setting tool for driving fastening element in constructional components includes a setting mechanism having a combustion chamber () for generating expanding gases, a piston guide () adjoining the combustion chamber (), a bolt guide () adjoining the piston guide () in the setting direction (), and a drive piston () displaceable in the piston guide (). The piston includes a piston head () and a piston body () connectable along an interface () with the piston head (), the piston head () and the piston body () having, respectively, in an interface region, at least one stop surface () and at least one counter-stop surface () formed by surfaces defining essentially complementary tapering regions.

Setting tool

A chipless thread-forming screw () has a thread-carrying shank () provided at its opposite ends with a tip () and a head (), respectively, and having a diameter between 0.25 and 0.35 mm, with the shank () having at least one frustroconical section () extending from the tip () in direction of the head () and having, with respect to the thread root (), a point angle (&#x3b1;) between 200 and 300, and a cylindrical section () extending between the frustroconical section () and the head (), and with a starting line () of the thread () remote from the head () being spaced from the tip () by a distance (L) from 0 to 0.3 mm.

Chipless thread-forming screw

A chiplessly thread-forming screw has a stem () at one end of which a tip () is provided and at another end of which a head () is provided, and which has a pointed conical section () extending from the tip () in a direction of the head (), a cylindrical section () arranged between the first pointed section () and the head (), a first cambered section () adjoining the pointed conical section () in the direction of the head, and a second cambered section () arranged between the first cambered section () and the cylindrical section () and an outer surface () of which has a second curvature radius (R) unequal to the first curvature radius (R) of the outer surface () of the first cambered section ().

Chiplessly thread-forming screw

A combustion-engined setting tool for driving fastening elements such as, e.g., nails, blots, etc. in constructional components includes a combustion chamber () for combusting therein an oxidant-fuel mixture, a turbulence generating element, arranged in the combustion chamber () for creating turbulence of the oxidant-fuel mixture, and a drive for at least partially driving the turbulence generating element () and including a mechanical device () for a pulsed acceleration of the turbulence generating element () and which is activated by the actuation switch () that actuates the setting process.

Combustion-engined setting tool

A combustion-engined setting tool () for driving in fastening elements such as bolts, nails, and the like in a constructional components includes an inlet/outlet valve arrangement () that connects the combustion chamber () of the setting tool (), which is filled with an air-fuel mixture, with at least two tool openings (), has an inlet () connectable with a first tool opening () and an outlet () connectable with the second tool opening ().

The present invention is directed to a combustion powered setting device for driving fastening elements such as nails, bolts and pins into a receiving material, with a fuel source, and a fuel line () from the fuel source () to a combustion chamber () and with at least one metering device () for fuel which is arranged in the fuel line () between the fuel source and the combustion chamber. In order to improve setting devices of this type, the metering device () has an adjusting device () for the metered volume, which adjusting device () responds to the fuel pressure.

Combustion-powered setting device

The present invention relates to an internal combustion-operated setting tool for driving fastener elements such as nails, bolts, pins into a substrate, having a fuel source, with a fuel feed line from a fuel source to a combustion chamber and having at least one dosing device (), which is arranged between the fuel source and the combustion chamber. For improving such setting tools, a displacement body () is arranged in a chamber in the dosing device () for forcing fuel out of the chamber, whose displacement volume can be adjusted.

Internal combustion-operated setting tool

The present invention relates to a combustion-engined setting tool for driving fastening elements, such as nails, bolts, pins in a constructional component, with a fuel guide () extending from a fuel source () to a combustion chamber () and with at least on electronically controlled valve () which is arranged in the fuel guide () between the fuel source () and the combustion chamber (), and with a control unit (), including at least one actuation means () with which the valve () is opened for a predetermined time period. For improving, it is proposed to arranged in the fuel guide () a storage chamber () between the electronically controlled valve () and the combustion chamber (). The storage chamber becomes filled with fuel through the electronically controlled valve already before the setting tool is pressed against a constructional component, enabling rapid, following one after another, setting processes.

The present invention is directed to a combustion-operated setting device for driving fastening elements such as nails, bolts and pins into a substrate, with a combustion chamber () that has at least one combustion chamber outlet () in which a fuel gas mixture can be ignited for driving a driving piston () guided in a piston guide (), and with a locking and unlocking mechanism () for unlocking the at least one combustion chamber outlet () in the starting position () of the driving piston () and for locking the at least one combustion chamber outlet () outside of the starting position () of the driving piston (). The locking and unlocking mechanism () has a magnet () for detecting the driving piston () in the starting position ().
