A method and a device are disclosed for the secure operation of a switching device including at least one main contact which can be switched on and off and which includes contact pieces and a displaceable contact bridge, and at least one control magnet which includes a displaceable anchor. The anchor and the contact bridge are actively connected to each other such that the corresponding main contact can be opened or closed when switched on and off. In at least one embodiment, the method includes the following: a) the path difference, which returns the anchor after switching on and off, is recognised, b) devices which are used to open welded main contacts are released by a release device when the recognised path difference exceeds a predetermined value and a specific time duration of time has run out after switching off.

Method and device for the secure operation of a switching device

A method and a device for the secure operation of a switching device are disclosed, including at least one main contact which can be switched on and off and which includes contact pieces and a displaceable contact bridge, and also at least one control magnet which includes a displaceable anchor. The anchor acts upon the contact bridge when it is switched on or off such that the corresponding main contact is opened and closed. In at least one embodiment, the method includes: a) the displaceable contact bridge of the at least one main contact recognizes when an opening point has been exceeded after being switched off, and b) the additional operation of the switching device is interrupted, according to a predetermined duration of time, when the opening point is not exceeded.

There is described a method and a system for monitoring a protective apparatus, which is connected upstream of a switching device and is connected to the switching device via at least one main current path. The wiring complexity for monitoring of the protective apparatus is minimized. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the sate of the protective apparatus is determined by a tap of the at least one main current path at or in the switching device by means of an evaluation unit. As a result of this direct evaluation of the switching state of the protective organ on the switching device, the wiring which until now has been required for an addition auxiliary switch on the protective device is dispensed with a possible fault source also being minimized along with the wiring complexity. For this purpose, the proposed solution is also independent of the physical design (branch-oriented or row-oriented, distance between the devices) in a switchgear cabinet.

Monitoring a protective device arranged upstream of a switching device

A connecting system includes an electromagnetic switchgear, especially contactor, and a connector. In at least one embodiment, the system makes it easier to connect auxiliary and control lines. For this purpose, the connecting system, in at least one embodiment, includes at least one electromagnetic switchgear, especially a contactor. The switchgear includes a plurality of auxiliary contact connections and a coil connection terminal block. The coil connection terminal block is configured in such a manner that the coil connections lie in a plane with at least one auxiliary contact connection. The connecting system also includes, in at least one embodiment, a connector for simultaneously contacting the coil and auxiliary contact connections of one or more switchgears which connections lie in one plane. The connector has an internal wiring for electrically interconnecting the coil and/or auxiliary contact connections.

A method and a device for secure operation of a switching device including at least two main contacts which can be switched on and off and include contact pieces and a displaceable contact bridge, and a control magnet having a displaceable anchor. The method may include producing an electric control signal to release a contact breaking device when the control magnets are switched on and off. The emitted control signal lies outside the ON state of the switching contact during the regular operation of the switching device and releasing the contact breaking device in defective operation of the switching device if the switching contact remains in the ON state when the control magnets are switched on or off. The switching contact may connect through the control signal to release the contact breaking device.

Method and device for securely operating a switching device

A method and a device are disclosed for the secure operation of a switching device including at least two main contacts which can be switched on and off and which includes respectively, contact pieces and a displaceable contact bridge, and at least one control magnet which includes a displaceable anchor. The anchor acts upon the contact bridge when it is switched on and off such that the corresponding main contact is opened or closed. At least one embodiment of the inventive method includes the following steps: a) release device for a force element remains in a first state in order to interrupt the main contact as long as the main contacts are closed when switched on and open when switched off, and b) the release device are transferred into a second state if at least the main contact is welded after switching off.

A method and device are disclosed for safely operating a switching device with at least one main contact, which can be switched on or off, and which has contact elements and a moving contact bridge, and with at least one control magnet, which has a moving armature. During switching on and off, the armature acts upon the contact bridge whereby closing and opening the corresponding main contact. At least one embodiment of the method includes the following: a) identifying whether the moving contact bridge of the at least one main contact has surpassed an opening point after the switching off; and b) interrupting the further operation of the switching device when the opening point has not been surpassed after a predetermined period of time.

Method and device for the safe operation of a switching device

An electromagnetic switching device includes an electromagnetic drive device and at least one electrical contact that, when a starting current is applied to the drive device, can be transferred by the drive device from a disconnect position (contact opened) into a bridging position (contact closed). When the switching device is fully installed, the contact can be blocked in the disconnect position and can be mechanically blocked in the disconnect position by an arresting element that can be connected to the switching device. As a result, the contact remains in the disconnect position even when the starting current is applied to the drive device.

The aim of the invention is to provide a switching device () based on a uniform control tile, which is easy to produce and assemble, ensuring good electric insulation properties. To achieve this, the device comprises an adapter () with second contact means (), arranged to form a connection between first contact means () and a conductor () that is to be connected. Said adapter and second contact means have insulating isolating elements (), at least bordering several sides, for defined creepage distances and clearances.

An electromagnetic switching device includes an electromagnetic drive apparatus and has a moving contact element which can be operated by this drive apparatus. The moving contact element can be switched between a bridging position, which connects a pair of stationary contacts, and a disconnected position, which disconnects the stationary contacts. The electromagnetic switching device also has an actuating apparatus having an actuating element which interacts with the moving contact element and can be moved between an operating position and a safe position. In the operating position, the moving contact element can be switched by the electromagnetic drive apparatus between the bridging position and the disconnected position. Further, by movement of the actuating element to the safe position, the moving contact element can be blocked from moving from the bridging position to the disconnected position, and can be blocked in the disconnected position.
